United States government investigates antisemitism on Wikipedia

I am so glad the government is paying attention to the really important issues that matter you know, this will really help lower food inflation at the grocery store.

Sounds stupid, but antisemitism is a fact of our days, your posts prove it.

Oh no, I oppose a group of people who religiously look at non-Jews as being subhuman and animals reduced to mere beasts of burden for the divine chosen people. Sounds like a case for censorship.

Being that I am half Semitic myself by birth as an abandoned bastard half spawn I guess I am antisemitic against half of myself also.

Oh, no!..

What’s it with this clown in your every post now?

The world is an absurd circus, it’s my way of adding to the world’s existential culture.

Anyway, while it’s stupid that a government should waste time and resources investigating an internet site, Wikipedia is different from all others because the public make it. Anyone can create and edit topics. And in a time like this, where there’s an obvious anti-Jewish sentiment in the air, the temptation of some to go and invent a lot of lies about Judaism is strong. Such falsified and 100% biased information is then spread all over the internet, becoming FACTS to many clueless people.

And where is all the anti Jewish sentiment coming from? Could it be an entire group of people who have made their whole entire identity being a victim is now genociding another group of people doing the victimizing themselves in the utter most way of hypocrisy is now trying to censor everyone else away from criticism? No, that can’t be, that’s antisemitic to talk about as well.

Very soon the entire world :globe_showing_americas: will be antisemitic, you’ll have to censor the entire planet.

I’m pretty sure you recognize the distance between verifiable FACTS and personal OPINIONS, don’t you?

Anybody can have a negative opinion on Israeli violence in Gaza. But Wikipedia is not a forum, it’s an INFORMATION SOURCE, an encyclopedia.

It’s rumored Wikipedia was originally started by the government itself, I guess we’re witnessing a purge inside the government for WrongThink.

It’s rumored that the Earth is flat, man. There’s one guy here affirming that it’s flat. Only, he doesn’t possess a shred of evidence for it, we have to rely on his word on that.

Nope, Wikipedia is a free collaborative site where everyone, literally, can create an article or edit it if he find in it wrong information. That’s what makes it valuable and different from other sources. I use it a lot, and I have noticed sometimes some articles with some clearly biased or wrong information, which I reported for correction. Being an encyclopedia, it must be scientific, and being scientific, it cannot be based on opinions or bias or vibes.

The concept of antisemitism is based entirely on religious vibes man.

What was there to laugh in my last comment? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Yeah, yeah, I know, but it was expanded in its meaning, here’s a definition accepted by many countries, including your beloved one:

Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.

You compared me to a flat earther, not the comparison I would make, but hilarious all the same. Funny even.

They’re trying to expand the definition of antisemitism to anything negative that is verbally disparaging of Jews and Zionism in terms of criticism, what they want to do is make it publicly illegal to criticize Jews altogether. That’s the real goal of all of these recent activities.

They are literally the most criticized people on earth since the dawn of times, they have been traditionally seen as snobbish, sectarian, cunning, perfidious. It was the general mistrust of Jews that led many to accept the concentration camps and still today lead many to find a justification for Hitler’s actions.

We can differentiate between valid criticism and opinion from intentional misguiding information, even because not ALL Jews are involved in Gaza’s genocide and MANY Israeli people are against it, BUT they can’t do anything if those in power won’t listen to their humanitarian concerns.

The problem with bold generalizations is that they lead some to believe all Jews are corrupted monsters planning on world conquest. Some of the most brilliant men of all times were Jews. I don’t think Einstein would be okay with Gaza.

this is just another, in a rather long list of bogus investigations
that this administration has launched… they don’t give
a shit about anti-semitism… but it is an excused to
attack something or someone, Universities for example,
to try to find something to turn that institution into a
MAGA operation… to have Wiki become an MAGA
front… nothing more… to turn America into
all things MAGA… That is the agenda and this witch
hunt is just another vague and useless attack in that
agenda…

so, don’t fall for it being an antisemitism search, it isn’t…
it is, as usual for this administration, a search for power…

The reason for it is because the Jewish religion is a supremacist one and it also goes one step forward too in that when the moschiach finally arrives they usher in the era of global government ruled from the Sanhedrin of Jerusalem. Jehovah promised the Israelites the entire world to eventuallybe theirs as prophesied, not just limited to the confines of territorial ancient or even modern Israel.

People would actually know all of this if they studied Judaism but most know nothing of it and that’s because most Hebrew sources of the Talmud or rabbinical writings have no multilingual translations. They’ve only started multilingual translations of Hebrew very recently but before that it was virtually non-existent. Religiously they view all non-Jews as subhuman or animals, that’s not an exaggeration, it’s literal translations of their writings. They view non-Jews as lesser inferiors made or crafted only as serving beasts of burden, again, not an exaggeration.

As far as I am concerned and is the attitude of many now, you don’t get to go around complaining about being genocided when you’re busy yourself going around genociding others, that’s hypocrisy, and Jews have lost their moral highground completely with that along with what little legitimacy they ever had.

It’s funny you say that, because in the post World War II world for many several decades it was Jewish academia that led the charge against white people (European gentiles) about how all were guilty for the collective evil of whiteness, now that the shoe is on the other foot they want to kvetch about how not all Jews are collectively responsible for the Palestinian atrocities inside Gaza. It’s an amusing sight watching so much hypocrisy unfold everywhere and how nobody believes anything Jewish people have to say anymore. But the greatest irony of them all is that what’s happening is all due to what Jewish people are doing to themselves. Life is funny that way.

Sure, I can think of a few good Jews I can say something nice about, but then again, I can think of a few good Germans also.

Israeli military says strikes on Gaza hospital targeted what it says was a Hamas camera.

We can differentiate between valid criticism and opinion from intentional misguiding information…

A statement released by the office of the Israeli prime minister said the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) would “prepare for taking control of Gaza city”.

It also outlined what it said were five “principles” for ending the war:

  • The disarmament of Hamas
  • The return of all hostages, both living and dead
  • The demilitarisation of the Gaza Strip
  • Israeli security control over the Gaza Strip
  • The establishment of an alternative civilian administration that is neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority

sounds reasonable, can’t complain.

They’re never going to give Gaza back to the Palestinians under any kind of circumstances, that’s just deceptive PR fluff. The end goal is remove Palestinians from the territory or region completely.
