Nah man, let’s just let Japan, and Iran, and North Korea have nuclear plants. I mean…you know…they should have freedom to have peaceful nuclear programs for energy. Because yeah, they’re not making bombs. It’s ok to let em play with nuclear stuff. If they have an accident it’s ok, because they didn’t mean to. We can’t just take away their rights because they’re too dumb to do nuclear energy correctly. That wouldn’t be fair. Future of humanity be damned. We have to make sure everything is fair and it’s just not fair for the US to police the world.
“If they have an accident it’s ok, because they didn’t mean to.”
Exactly. I mean that’s exactly how it apparently is. Why no one is talking about invading this retarded country or forcing some help on them.
You know how this came about. Some guy saw that there was a leak which would lead to a disaster if it wasn’t addressed right away, but if he would tell his superior, his honor would be at stake. Maybe he would have to bow his head.
Looking forward to hearing about how all Pacific oceanic life is dying out due to nuclear waste being dumped into the ocean.
Then there is that whole radiation travelling around in the world’s northern hemisphere thing. I need to get some iodine tablets.
Also looking forward to a radiated western coast in the United States with people walking around hairless.
If you see canned tuna at the supermarket that says canned in the Pacific, don’t eat it. I’ve had to cut back on my regular consumption of shrimp because of it.
Women of Japan, if you need to find a escape from Japan I offer myself as your American husband where you can have a place to stay. Love me long time.
I’m saying how come we don’t realize that a country making nuclear bombs might be no more dangerous than a dumb country trying to make nuclear power who fails at it so miserably that all that radiation escapes.
Yea, surely that is it. There are possibly billions of lives at stake along with the whole future of mankind, and I’m worried about Iambiguous excentric “point” being different from my own.
No, you high priest of vanity, I dismiss you because it’s the likes of you who have always been the cause of things going too far and over the edge into disaster.
“It might be a problem… (after all it smells of gas in here)… but then again, there’s also a tiny chance that it’s an illusion. You know what? let’s bet on the illusion, so I’ll have another few peaceful moments.”
The Fukushima problem is not a matter matter of ambiguity, it is by many different accounts an extremely grave threat to the planets ecosystem.
The only question is whether the total collapse can be prevented or not, and if so, if the Japanese who caused it are to be trusted with that.
And while it focuses more on the past than the present, it seems to go in the other direction. Maybe I was reacting more to idea of invading Japan and dropping nuclear warheads on Tehran. Some folks apparently being more expendable than others.
As for the nature of America’s energy policies and its foreign policy [which encompasses spending more on WMDs and the military than the rest of the world combined] what possible danger do we pose to the world?
Let this bit of stupidity cheer you all up. fromthetrenchesworldreport.c … ssed/27275
Idiocy is worldwide. I would say these PETA idiots should be grateful it was not worse.
You weren’t reacting to anything about Tehran, because I posted that after your first response. And I never said anything about killing the Japanese, it is about taking the problem off their hands because they’re apparently not capable to solving it and it concerns the whole planet.
You don’t seem to understand that last bit.
It would be very nice if it’s not as bad as all that. And it would certainly be very nice if there were no reason to bomb Iran. But you seem to not get it - what is at stake in the nuclear world is not fairness, but a livable future.
Smears is precisely on the money as he paraphrases the sort of position you’ll be defending.
"We can’t just take away their rights because they’re too dumb to do nuclear energy correctly. That wouldn’t be fair. Future of humanity be damned. "
I didn’t mean that. It’s just Kris proves my fear - the average Joe or Jill wants to continue thinking about stupid pranks and filthy business at award shows at any cost, no matter if their attention and efforts on more serious things might be very important in the greater scheme.
Jakob, I said cheer you all up because this shit is scary, depressing and horrible. That link might bring a bit of humor with safe idiocy not deadly idiocy. The USA cannot commit to a war with Japan over this. They most likely would make it worse and kill everyone based on their honor system. Diplomacy is the only hope and that aint that great. Shit is going to hit the fan sooner or later, we only pretend grownups are mature.
Nor did the US scientists/company who designed the reactors that were sold to Japan despite the obvious dangers…well, to the World. And then there was the US approach to, say, Rocky Flats.
I see Little guarantee the US would do better.
