all that humans do is create and produce and strain for evolution. one thing is inventions, whichhelp us in our daily lives, but simply spreading paint on fabric stretched over some wood? and them perfecting the image? why? and culinary arts?we eat it anyways, why must we decorate?“and some mint leaves for garnish”, says food nework. well you dont really eat the garnish. it is like plastic figurines on a cake that erve no purpose but for some kid with frosting all over his face to throw out after .5 minutes of amusement. and decor, hom decor? yes, home decor. why does it exist, why must we, like octopi in the sea arrange rocks, spend so much energy on painting walls and spending tons of money at The Great Indoors to fill our homes with useless (but pretty) objects. and what about pajamas? nobody looks at them, yet most people love pretty pajamas. now why things that get in the way? for one is surely not pleased when entering the house of a painter and stumbling over various canvases- artists waste away in front of their work. WHY, DARWIN,WHY?!
painting is ones hobbie. every hobbie needs there financial support to be continued, one way or another (i’m sure you are aware of this fact). as of why we decorate beautifully to just waste away is a very stubborn topic. as for me, i believe that we create art and decorate our homes to fulfil our needs, everyone has their needs. why does culinary art spend so much time and effort to create magnificent designs on food just to have it be eaten? they do this to support their need of creating, they love to do it, even knowing it will be destroyed. we all will continue to do what we love even if it does get destroyed.
we have evolved into a mindset that needs to create…creation is pretty much artwork. us, as a species have evolved into a culture with rituals and communities, friendships, and need to create. neanderthals became extinct because they didnt have the culture and community that the homosapiens were createing and nourishing. i hope that helps?
well yeah, they had common sense. but they didnt leave behind traces of very high intelligence (they didnt build structures of any kind that could last. their tool kit stayed the same over a millennia)
creativity and inventiveness enhances the survival of any form of life of rapidly changing conditions and that my friend is what the neanderthals lacked
