Wackery the world over.

What is a philosophical stance you take seriously? Think about that, and identify one. Now what is the worst example of that ideology (or non-ideology, for the post-modernists. BTW, if that urinal ain’t in a museum, I don’t wanna see it!) that you could provide to give the uninitiated the entirely wrong impression of said stance?

Here is a great one for Confucianism:

That is just what you think it is . . . only so much worse. A woman letting her father-in-law breast feed from her while her son cheers her on. Totally creepy, right? It is from a Confucian-themed Amusement Park in Singapore, I say “Amusement Park” in the same way one ought describe the Creation Museum as a, err, Museum. A totally absurd exercise in that sort of thing funded by a well-meaning but ultimately insane religious fanatic. There are some awesome statues of Buddhist hell there too, but I’ll let the Buddhists display those

As for what is actually going on, it is the same idea as the more familiar Western concept of Roman Charity. But, from a modern perspective, that doesn’t make ti any less creepy.

My Westernism is showing but, yea that is creepy and icky but, I can see why it would be done as charity for the father in law if the man had health issues. Nope not my father in law, would not happen in a trillion years I simply do not have that much charity. If my soul actually lived for eternity I don’t think it could ever get that much charity for any adult.
to put it bluntly EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW.

The only real philosophical stance that I take seriously is education. It is good to learn the bad with the good.
