Has anyone looked much into this (brilliant) philosopher? He is a Japanese Zen philosopher who seems to also have a greater grasp on philsophy in the West than many of the West’s own scholars.
I have read sections of his Rinrigaku, mostly relating to ethics, and have found some very accomplished, if complex, ideas therein. Commentary on the nondualistic notion of “ningen”, which incorporates both the individual human and all of humanity and its relationships into one concept is particularly insightful.
