We muddy our waters too much

These poems came out of my organism sometime within the last few centuries. They are not related in any decipherable and/or intelligible way. The first poem comes from the heart and deals with love. The second also comes from the heart, but deals with pure hate. The third poem deals with disgust at mankind, kind of like the 2nd poem… The fourth with indifference, but also with love, like the first poem.

“It is beauty that stuns me
Knocks away my shield
Leaves me helplessly open
To receive Loves blade
When I am next in her presence
I will speak to my heart
“On this battlefield
I do not want to win””

“I stood high above you
Told you I was high above you
Showed you I was high above you
You did not look, see, or listen
I came down to you
To strike you
Beat you
Kill you
And rape you
Tortured your families
Destroyed your culture
Your land and country
World and cosmos
As retribution
For your cruel and stubborn refusal
To acknowledge my greatness”

“They go to work
Carry the stones
Build for the future
Of dead Pharaohs
Stricken by horror
I look to the pyramids
Look to the past
Seeking Moses”

“There is a coin
They call it heads
They call it tails
They fight over
What it is
I call it a coin
And find peace”

Magnificent. The soul of a poet! Only in relationships do we come to understand ouselves. There are no inferior or superior humans–just us. Beating your head against what seems to be a solid wall of cultural impositions on your personal integrity is your opportunity to learn from pain how to find your own expression.
