So I’ve finished all of my paperwork for the week, straightened my desk (which was really getting quite cluttered and causing me a lot of unnecessary frustration), updated my rolodex, and now find myself sitting at my desk with nothing to do but wait for phone calls or people to come in. I’m pondering what I want to do with myself this weekend. I had tentative plans for a friend to come visit, but they fell through, so now what? I was invited out for dinner tonight, but I’m not sure if I want to do that or not, we’ll see how I feel about it later, I guess. What I’d really like to do tonight is kick back with a few drinks and relax, but nothing says I can’t do that after I go out for dinner. Meh.
Who said anything about moping? I’m not going to mope. I’m not a moper.
I may go down by the lighthouse, that’s always a favorite activity of mine. I definitely need to clean my apartment, so that’ll take up some time (though it’s so small that it really only takes about a half-hour to clean). I was thinking about checking out the winery in town, but I may wait until next weekend as they’re having a bluegrass band play that Saturday night, and while I’m not a huge fan of bluegrass, I am a huge fan of live music. Tomorrow morning I have an appointment to get my nails done, so that will also occupy my time for a little while. I got a couple of the movies I ordered off eBay in the mail already, so there’s that to look forward to, and I have a book or two I’ve been meaning to crack for awhile, so perhaps I’ll get some good reading in. And of course, there’s my new computer to play with
…y’know…it’s raining out…I have to walk home…it’s not very far…but it’s still a walk in the rain…normally this may not bother me…but it’s kind of cold out today…rain is wet…wet and cold don’t like each other…I’m sure I’ll be fine…it’ll probably make me laugh a little bit…but sitting here…looking out there…I’m really not looking foward to this…
