What about comment sections, on a site such as YouTube, or Screenrant? If they could vividly imagine Google, it logically follows that they were able to imagine a comments thread on the Screenrant story about the set visit to Justice League.
No, people were retarded those days…and still are now. If it wasn’t for a select few people those thoughts would of never even happened. The internet was not just created out of a single idea, it involved over time by many people, even more so to bring in search engines, even more so social networking…one kind of had to happen to birth the next… if there was some kind of global catastrophe that wiped out the inventors, inventions, contributors and educational material regarding tvs, computers, fridges, microwaves etc We are all fucked…for a long time, until the next weirdo virgin comes along with an autistic brain to recreate it for us…

No. We don’t even know nowadays what technology in the future will be like. We project what we know onto the unknown. There is no way folks 500 years ago could even have imagined a light bulb.

A TV is a rather rudimentary device.
The social conditions needed for inventions are more so an attitude. A time of pastoral scenes, casually tinkering, and a positive attitude towards inventions. Time and money is needed to buy the components and materials. In the event of catastrophe we will see a lot of use of scrap metal and spare parts, Mel Gibson isms and star wars tatooine, technology will still be here, but more grungy looking.
A TV is a rather rudimentary device. And there are a number of ways to accomplish it. A simple breadboard is all that’s needed.
Simply put a bunch of LED’s on a breadboard, then project the LED"s onto a mirror.
Then attach each LED to a wire, 1000 wires = 333 pixels (each wire has a RGB value ) and 1000 LEDs all focused into the mirror.
The 1000 wires are sent to the broadcasting station in the living room, which has 1000 wires of its own, all containing the rgb data (converted into such by finding some photosensitive material that reacts to light. When a photograph is placed on it, attached to the 1000 wires, it activates the electrical signal perhaps through chemical means. Or perhaps, transparent film is shown light via a projector, and this heated light surpasses a threshold activating some wires but not some others. Black and white at first, but soon the technology creates different heat thresholds based on RGB values.)

People were aware of communication 500 years ago (the method is irrelevant), the only difference now is that we got more crap at our fingertips than on them (thanks to improvements in hygiene).

We’ll probably get the Mad Max or Planet of the Apes future, since we still do not realize we are part of ecosystems. It’s century 21 already. Do we need more wars and pollution? Current eugenics is enough to insure overpopulation of the Earth. You’ll be able to live 120 or more years. But you may just live in a trash heap of decaying technology.
