Could we have a reality show? get together a bunch of bright minds (contestants) a give them a list of a bunch of problems facing our country and way of life…see what kind of solutions they come up with. Pick the best one that fixes the most the best.

in order for your gameshow idea to work you would need to include the whole nation in the audience, or else who would respect a persident that was selected by a some 50 person strong studio audience?
it would in essance be the same as the current democracy except the candidates skills would be put to the immediate test.
I am of the theory that you can pick any 535 plus
one people out of any phone book in the country
to run the govenment and do better then the current 535 plus
one run our present day government. 536 and pick the
president out of random out of those 536, make the 535

Instead of getting the job by making empty promises…they will be getting and keeping the job by showing results!

politics seems like the easiest job in the world and anybody thinks they can do it without any training or experience. but do you think you could fix a broken 747 engine without any training or experience? every job requires certain skills and without them you are clueless, same goes for politics.
if a president had to prove his worth every once a year, it would create a lot of half assed initiatives that was made to look good and then totally crash and burn after two months. no, the period needs to be longer than that.
its a good concept… yet it seems like something that cant be done, for some reason the human nature would interfere…
Another plus is…the viewers would be getting educated just watching and forming their own ideas from the foundation the contestants are bringing to light. Everyone grows and benefits from the contest.
Money loses status as a player…knowledge kicks it’s ass.
Does knowledge become the thing most sought after then? Honing your mind for a shot at the title?

If Bush and those looney toons really were meant to rule, they will. But I think most people will agree with me when I say that their strategy is stupid and transparent.
Think of it as upping the intensity. Things arn’t like they used to be where we could sit around pondering in a general sense. The powers at be are sparring with us, and we need to simply be better. People will continue to do what they can get away with, that is the nature of the game. It may not look like it at first, but all of Bush’s shit is actually strengthening the human race because we have to be even more on guard for what the government is up to.

Cultural revolution - the only good means to achieve anything these days. Democratic government is conservative and stagnant and will be overthrown, we may as well make sure that some noble people do the overthrowing rather than a bunch of Green Day fans (no offence to anyone, I’m just making a point)…
as soon as the first nuke hits democracy is dead. afer that they will have to rule through a completly fear controlled based dictatorship. plus every other nation in the western world would be against them.
more likely what they will do is slowly but surely give themselves more power through things not unlike the patriot act. for a reference to this method of gaining complete control over a democracy please type ‘Hitler rise to power 1929-1933’ in any search engine.

what if we flood the media and editorials with emails tossing this idea around?? Seems like sooner or later we will hit paydirt, and get our shot at the title. Or at least see if they can discredit the idea?
I would just like to hear them convince people the current ways are full of hope and promise, and things will be getting better for everyone “real soon”. they “promise”.
I want to know what they mean by “real soon”. Could they translate that into a straight answer for us?

the problem with the quality of leaders isnt the selection process.
the problem is who is in charge of putting them in power. its not you, or anybody who has less than $5 million. so what you are saying here is irrelevant. sorry.

I am concerned that at the way things are currently going. There will be a point to where people no longer are controlled by fear of death. They will have very little to live for. Then a chrismatic leader takes those people and gives them a cause to die for. the current regime…is 62% there already.
