What can/does God do for you?

Please tell me a philosophy or example.

In the Chrisitan-moral sense, or any belief in a transcendent being acting as a ‘psychic teddy bear’ for oneself, proves to me that the majority of humans shouldn’t have been born. Only those who can affirm the world in all its harshness, brutality, and hostility have the right to exist.

God is a crude answer. A crudity towards us thinkers, and an errorful one at that.

God provides the hope of something more than this existence. Those that cannot find meaning in their life often use this concept of a God that provides heaven and whatnot as a coping mechanism.

What can/does God do for me.

When faced with adversities, I turn to God for help because man is limited in thoughts and actions. What can other men do that I cannot do or think? God reveals his laws to me, which are immutable, and that no one, no thing can defy, modify, or change His truths. They are laws, they are true yesterday, today and will be true tomorrow. As Jesus said in his prayer, “Thy will be done…on earth as it is in heaven.”

God fills me with peace. When I pray. When I go to church. When I need it. God guides me to a better life. I am a work in progress.

God changes people. I know one person who was raped by someone they trusted. God took those memories and alloud that person to have peace with those memories by changing the image of the raper into a memory of God.

God guided a complete stranger to invite me to dinner and talk me into letting go of a love for a woman I had.

God provides me with everything.

I had hoped in my 15 years of christianity that god would do something, but for me I came to my last straw, I suppose, and just decided the cliches and one liners weren’t good enough anymore to answer the questions of my experience, so now I am looking onward I suppose.

Jason

cliches and one liners aren’t what a practicing Christian would remember.

God gets mixed in to my politics and screws everything up. Other than that, not much.

how so?
