What do materialists believe about God?

I’ve started to approach materialism, as its crucial to “master” Hegelian philosophy if you want to fully comprehend and analyse “Capital” by Marx. I don’t believe in a Higher Sentient Being, instead my views on this type of topic are that all matter is “God”, since everything was spawned from the beginning(Big Bang) from a common source(all atoms coming from one atom)- hence if there is a God, we(and everything else) are all part of it.
What do materialists envisage about “God”?

From a materialist standpoint, it is easy. It must be detectable in some
fashion by the senses. Now this includes using science to detect such things
such as black holes and atoms which makes these things available to be
notice by the senses. God cannot in any fashion be detected by either
science or the senses. This also includes such things as fairies, unicorns,
leprechauns and McCain’s foreign policy. So for a materialist God cannot
exist and he doesn’t.

so materialists don’t believe in God AT ALL…? aren’t there any who say atoms are alive or some shit and are controlled by a universal control centre known as Jeebus? ( and you quoted from God and the State I believe, great read)

no, there are materialists who are believers in god… check out the watchmaker’s argument…
