what ever happened to adam and eve, after christ died?

I am curious to know.

I read in the other bible, in the gospel of bartholew, The archangel michael went down to hell and carried adam to heaven, after the crucifixiction of christ.

According to Christian theology, all the souls in existence prior to the arrival of Christ were languishing in Limbo (the Hebrew word of this place escapes me at this time, it’s rather late and I’m tired). After Christ died, these souls, including those of Adam and Eve, all went to heaven.

Rather recently though, the new Pope is expected to officially reject the theological hypotheses of Limbo… it really has no purpose anymore.

I think they refer to it as Abraham’s Bosom.
