What I have learnt

I have finally learnt to dispise others. I have become the perfect Christian capable of seperating sheep from goat. The world is full of low intelligence, ugly, stupid, you name it. I am just so much better than everyone. I am wise and I am also a Christian. Meaning I will be able to enjoy the fruits of this life and the life hereafter. meaning I get everything.

The people I hate are cowards, schemers, idiots, they will lose in this life and lose the life to come.

Oh lord Jesus, thou art beautiful, thou art just, thou art the most wise. I thank thee for granting me superhuman intelligence, and now the capacity to dispise others stupider and less kind than me. though I am intelligent, I am very kind. I hate the stupid and the stingy. It is not a sin to be stupid, but it is a sin to be stingy. I am generous with all. but not to the stupid stingy assholes whom seem to have sprang up from nowhere to infest this land of ours. they ought to be extinguished, like the candle of darkness, being extinguished by me, the bringer of light.

the reason I am so much smarter, more intelligent than everyone is because that is the way I am. I am not arrogant, I am being realistic.

I am not sure why I bother chatting with the ones I look down on, except de’trop, Dr Satanical and some others. why am I so much better than everyone else, is a mystery that I just have to accept.

Thank God you’ve come along.

Show those lukewarm christians how to live.

Amen to that, brother.

I have not been here very long, but
I must say, of the people here,
you fit the shakespeare quote most of all,
“full of sound and fury, signifying nothing”

I am sure someone here can say less, but then they would
have to say, nothing at all. You are young and
full of yourself, but soon you shall learn being young and
and full of yourself only means you are young and full of yourself.
It doesn’t mean you actually have anything to say.
I trust with time, well in your case a lot of time, you might actually
have something to offer the rest of us. Being young has it advantages,
but being young and clueless, well I would rather be older and
know more.

See this is why you’re a joke… this doesn’t come across as real to me.

Everyone sees through your shit.

I do hope that you are a joke, PoR.

You are the first (and only one) to make it into the ILP’s Philosophy Section - Hall of Shame. Realistically speaking, how does it feel to have such an honor bestowed on one, such as yourself?

Atalanta… exactly how many posts have you made to the philosophy section

I don’t have -alot-… but at least i have a reason.

I’ll cya in word association

That’s meek, Pinnacle… Not peak. :unamused:

PoR, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but sometimes in the street you’ll see these things, they look roughly like us - two legs, two arms and stuff - but usually they’ve got longer hair, they have these weird bumps on their upper torsos, and their rear ends are a bit curvier. If you can get right up close without scaring one of them, and give them a sniff, you’ll find to your surprise, that they smell nice too, like a kind of flower you can shag.

I really seriously implore you to get one of those to follow you home one day, don’t worry, be of good cheer - some of them have dreadful taste.

PoR man, which are you, sheep or goat?
What does low intelligence, stupidity, or uglness have to do with being either a sheep or a goat?

If you are truely a wise Christian, I expect you will act at least as charitably as a wise Socrates, perhaps even like a wise saint. But let me advise with what I have learnt on the natural level: “It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.”

In the words of A. Pope:
A little knowledge is a dangerious thing;
drink deep or not at all of the Pierian [Muse’s] Spring.
There shallow droughts intoxicate the brain;
and drinkly largely sobers us again.

Vale bene,
mrn

Or in the words of St Paul, “Knowledge puffs up; Love builds up.”
…Which may be the only thing which makes Lovers of Wisdom tolerable.

mrn

Look at that PoR, you made the Lord and Savior cry

shame on you.

On the plus side… guess who has got JESUS TEARS FOR SALE… get em now folks, they cure cancer… they get you off. PM for more details.

Gobbo, that was rude and in poor taste. In addition to being sacreligious – about which this site may not care – it also insults the origin of many persons’ philosophy – which seems to only be all right only if it’s against Christianity. I think you should cool it. PoR’s not the only professed religious person on the board. (Although he will no doubt be surprised to realize someday that the religion he professes is a Semitic religion from the Middle East.)

mrn

Oh and the person posting messages as ‘jesus’ is?

this is mundane… give me a break

this whole thread is a sacrilage…

…is you, I suspected, since it was the set-up for your jokes.

Well, PoR probably doesn’t know what he’s doing.
It also doesn’t make you doing it any more okay.

mrn

Nah I’m just naturally funny

but for what it’s worth… I apologize, it was perhaps in poor taste.

I don’t understand your post, Old_Gobbo.

Heh… I’ll give you a dunamis answer: bummer

In general terms it’s best to be polite and not try to offend people, but it’s incredible that anyone should be expected to apologize for saying something “sacreligious” or blasphemous on a philosophy site! :astonished:
