what is believing? And how do you belive?

Does it takes proofs, demonstrations, and physical evidence?

You believe what you want to believe.

Not at all. If someone told you, ‘hey look at that guy’, you would believe there was a guy there to look at, assuming you trusted the person and felt like they weren’t trying to trick you. It was never proved or demonstrated.

A good definition would be something you use to base logical decisions.

Belief is faith and trust in information not facts or data.

I think believing means something you use to make decisions for the future. Does that make sense?

belive as in rely is the will and mind (thinking) version on physical support

Knowing something to be true with no justification.

A conceivable thought. But first and foremost: The self imposed continual degradation of the inconceivability that -any- thought can be conceived.

This is how we as humans can be said to said to ‘fly like dolphins’ (I emphasize the metaphor from some of whom imagine themselves to be an actual dolphin as part of an DXM trip, achieving the same functional effect) under the moonlight ocean to catch a glimpse at the eternalanythought cool, crisp air above sea level.

I think it takes two things because we are made up of two separate things. The life force in us is a metaphysical energy that causes the flesh to be alive. So that would make two separate worlds or dimensions. One of the flesh, and one of this life force energy.

The life energy side will have one set of rules and the flesh world will have another. Therefore both will need to be satisfied to truly believe in something.

All of our five senses are connected to this flesh world

Intuitions, conscience and awareness are attached to the metaphysical plane.

The two must find agreement, then you believe.

Some demand proof and demonstration and physical evidence before they will believe but for most a non-contradictory explanation is enough though many will believe even a self-contradictory or non-logical explanation if it appeals to their emotions.

Demonstrations of truth are not required.

Personally, I believe nothing but suspect much.

belief is part of the fabric that makes your mind human.

You need belief to survive, and you might need it to be healthy and/or happy. (degrees of belief variying by individuals etc)

I am not talking about anything specific like theism, divinity etc.

But with me for example: I believe that my family is worth it, I believe my personal goals are worthy to pursue, I believe that I am doing my best to understand life and live it well.

Without these personal beliefs, my life would personally begin to fall apart, b/c I have seen it do so in the past.

(Logic is SO important, but belief is ALSO as important)

A belief is whatever you want it to be, strickly personal. Knowledge (a justified true belief about reality) is somehting else entirely.

Believing is about taking a chance on that which is not seen with the eyes but with the heart. The greater the risk, the greater the potential for fulfillment.

Belief is when you think and behave as though something is true, as a matter of faith.
