What is evil?

I honestly don’t know what it is.

What is it?

Dan~'s avatar multiplied by the number of topics you make per day.

Surely you jest?

Naw man, haven’t you seen heavenly_demonic’s avatar?

So evil is heavenly_demonic’s avatar?

Interesting. :stuck_out_tongue:

Rabbits, furry critters, and the like.

Evil is furry creatures, then? :stuck_out_tongue:

I declare hunting season to finally destroy global evil once and for all. :evilfun:

god(s) is evil

because god(s) take away from our belief of our own Being , our own Humanity. and that is the most profound evil there is.

religion will be Humanities down fall

the survival of our own Humanity should be and all ways be our absolute priority. for infinity.

Care to elaborate on HOW any of this occurs? Seems a little abstract to me, to say the least.

Oh, and…

Given your penchant for moral amiguity or simply abdication of moral belief this seems like the best way to address it.

Evil? As a noun, it refers to some mysterious matter that makes people do evil things. As a quality of an action, it is basically a stronger synonym of immoral. As a quality of a person, however, I think it means more. It doesn’t just mean immoral, but immoral in a way that is either justified by logic or isn’t but the person knows and doesn’t care. It means not just immoral, but knowingly immoral. I think.

If you need a definition of immoral, just ask.

Evil is that which is contrary to the values that are created by those who have the power to create them.

Doesn’t everyone have the ‘power’ to create values? In fact, I think everyone here has to some degree or another created their own set of values based on what they find compelling and/or useful.

religion divides Humanity into this sect or that sect thinking that they are "closer " to god than any other sect. hence the problems in the middle-east. which are just derivations of jewdism . add to that the history of these sects . someone did someone wrong .

they just can’t let go there history and their relationships to each other
