what is mine is mine, what is yours is yours.

i had a conversation the other day and a chap said he had a simple moral guide for living, one of the things he said was; “what is mine is mine, what is yours is yours.” to this i replied ‘what is rome’s is theirs to the detriment of all others’! on a similar level someone down the pub said “i give to charity but not if it is for foreigners” the idea was ‘charity begins at home’ rather than a direct xenophobic response, i think the same reply is appropriate here to…

what we have is largely built on what others don’t have, after all at one time the land would have belonged to peasant farmers, then civilisation grew and some took from others. we in the west live comfortably via former empires and unfair trade, we buy things extremely cheep because some are working for little wages and sell their resources cheaply.

so how do you see it all?

Free enterprise and capitalism at work. Most people don’t realize it’s a two-edged sword. Once your labor gets too expensive, it gets shipped out to those that are willing to do the same thing for less. Perfect chance for third-world countries to catch up to us now that we’ve used up most of our natural resources and empirism is now frowned upon.

indeed, they could hold us to ransom! ~ as far as resources go, as for labour, well we just bring it here or buy cheep abroad. they could and will eventually charge more, then the balance will swing in their favour ~ if we don’t use up their resources first lols.

Technically the world along with everything in it is everyone’s but that still doesn’t change the fact that subjectively we say this is yours or mine where we kill each other for the sake of our own egos.

i wouldn’t go as far as that, what we earn is to some degree ours, it is just not very well balanced.

i agree with the ego’s thing though.

To me terms like earn, deserve, should, and must are mere metaphysical idealizations of deception used to manipulate others at other people’s will or disposal.

They only exist if youl believe that they exist. They don’t exist when you stop believing in them.

true they are used as such, although they also have some truth in them ~ which forms the basis as to why they can be used as such.

The only so called “truth” in them that I can see is that through disobedience one can expect violence and conflict as a reaction of disobeying.
