What is ‘potency’?

Potential - how something affects something else given certain requirements.

E.g. A medicine may be ‘potent’, but does it contain potency, as an agent or further quality?

Sure it contains potency unless if’s a placebo pretending to be a medicine. But even a placebo is capable of containing potency, depending how that placebo plays out in the mind of someone.

Yes, I’d say that it’s an agent that interfaces between that which is contained in it and that which it is prescribed for. It’s potency depends on the human brain. What may be potent for one may not be for another.

At a different level; does reality have ‘potency’, as like the universe has space even if we cant see it with our eyes closed, does energy or anything else have ‘potency’.

Potency again is a form of potential - to me. Reality has potency depending on how one interprets it, acts on it. Reality especially has potency when something is not done as a result of it - or maybe one can call that cause and lack of effect. Reality is also potency or potential waiting in the winds so to speak.
In order for energy to have potency, it has to be energized. Otherwise it lies dormant, like a volcano. A dormant volcano has the promise of potency or potential but only when it has risen up. Energy is also a tool but that tool needs a receptor.

Do we feel things as physical when actually there are only events changing, and their ‘effect’ is a relativistic one, and without any ‘essence’ of ‘realness’.

It all happens within the brain but it’s real just not real as we see it.

no it still has some potency because of future sense, we can sense things prior to each moment. If its a tree fallen in the woods it may have some form of psychic potency to the earth consciousness we are connected to. depression may be related to the massive amounts of habitat destruction.

I take your spiritual point, not sure if the question was answered though. Did you mean that the subtlest entities [e.g. Observers behaviours informations] have potency in their potential? I was wondering what projects such ‘entities’, then that as energy is conserved [whole] doesn’t it constitute an overall potency? I am tempted to think there is no such thing as energy at this level, yet something is pushing the whole thing out - if you will, unless its an infinity, to wit we would need to ask if that is the basis of potency making manifest things real.

potency is more like activated potential, when you think of “potency” you imagine a future scenario of how it tastes in the present moment.

If potency was the same as potential we wouldn’t have seperate words. Potential is like a vague idea of a future scenario with little sensory taste and more of a mathematical feel.
