I thought about this about giving money to the poor. My mom used to gave a handicapp poor women who is trading for some peppermints, $3-5 for day 1 and on day 3. And won 4 out of 5 numbers in the lottery, in those day.
the highest I have given is $5.
I once gave a twenty to an obviously insane woman who used to sit in town. She would nurse a liter of beer, as hugely fat, and spoke in a weirdly high voice. She asked me to buy her some crisps from a bowling alley for no reason, and gave me her purse. They were closed. I felt the need slip the cash in the purse, so I did. I quickly gave it back to her and left.
$100 dollars.
But I did not do it for him…
I did it for me.

I give when I can, but I don’t keep records. I don’t see the need of knowing, to be honest.
dan, you do realize thats absolutely incoherent…but are you trying to say because your mom gave to the poor she had better luck in the lottery? Or that peppermints are delicious? Or…I’m not really sure but thats the best I could come up with…
Oh yeah BTW, the most I’ve given a bum is probably a dollar.
Although I feel better about myself for conversing with this homeless guy named Chris outside of a bar (which is where he lives), although most would say not to believe a word these bums say I thought he was telling the truth the whole time.
He told me about how he saw action in the war in Panama as a sniper…and a whole lotta other stuff too…I probably ended up giving him half my pack of cigarettes through the whole conversation.
I like to believe that bums are perfectly safe to talk to and we shouldn’t treat them so akwardly.
20 bucks or so. Probably not much more than that. I come from a rather poor family, myself. 
My goal will be $100 for charity. I don’t know when will that be done.
Not today I know that.
