what is the purpose of education? and college?

why have education itself make us into a particular type of person.
which is worship security. We are slaves to security. from security, pleasure, and from pleasure, desire. We are slaves to all thoses. Which the purpose of education has submitted to those.

The purpose of college I see saw far, is to make its graduates into employees.

Well, the state funds public education, thus making it conforming to its standards. The capitalist class basically controls the state, and is thus settng the standards through the state, so it makes perfect sense for the owners of capital to create an educational system that will manufacture ignorant workers who will buy into their system of inequality.

In other words- in order to maintain their elevated position, the capitalist class produces individuals via education who will go along with it; brainwash

therefore
to be free, you must be a capitalist.

Yeah, the purpose of education and college is to get a peace of paper that lets high ranking idiots immediately understand you are “smart” and they will give you an awesome paying job!

Also the purpose of education is to better ourselves and to help us get by with our immediate environs, but alas this is not always the case. Some people go to college with the goal of that piece of paper in mind more than to obtain their own personal mental pleasure… Take my advice and go to school and study whatever you want. Don’t worry about money.

how about studying how to murder or slay a dragon?
IS there a dragon slayer around, that can be hired these days?

If capitalists control state education, why are they the ones who would like to abolish it?

“Education” comes from the latin “e-ducere”: to lead or draw out.

It take it as meaning to lead the youth out of the cave to where he can see the mental sunlight on the intellectual truths. It is to draw forth the good in a youth so he achieves mental maturity and good character. …At least this is the purpose of the liberal arts, the arts suitable to the free man, which Socrates would say can even make a man happy.

At least that’s what I was sold on in college.
