IF you know what it is, then I would not say it is unknown.
being able to be aware of it and recognize it, could be an option.
But once you put it into form or category it seems like religion is doing, everything fails, into blind faith.

What is the unknown?
That which is not yet known?
I’ll think about this.
Here’s my final thoughts on the unknown.
I will stick to my original thoughts that the unknown is that which is not yet known.
I think there are many things out there waiting to be discovered, and man loves to know the unknown and someday will discover them.
For example, the elements, has man discovered all of them yet? As of Oct. 16, 2006, scientists know 117 of them, maybe there are more.
Man as a limited being is confined to finite symbolism. It is impossible to represent the infinite by a finite symbol.
The circle for example, is an inadequate symbol to represent the unlimited space. Seems that the circle has limited boundary.
The only way we can discover the greatest of the unknown is through death. Then we are no longer limited by the imperfections of our physical senses, and our false reasoning.
what is unknown is paradox.
When you discover the unknnown is no longer is the unknown.
So once it is known, it cannot be the unknown.
The unknown is something like a paradox.
