Clearly questions are a large part of philosophy and we welcome thought-provoking questions and genuine calls for opinions and perspective on philosophical issues. However, being part of a community means a bit of give and take. Share your ideas on the topics you bring up and don’t just blindly post questions because you feel you should or you think it’ll make you look clever. A consistent career of one-liner questions will not be looked upon kindly.

Hi Dan,

I’ve now closed and deleted about 4 or 5 of the threads you have started in various ILP forums. The reason I have done so is because they only contained a question without any comment from you. There’s nothing wrong with that but at ILP we try to encourage members to add their own comment to the threads that they start rather than just posting a lot of one line questions.

Can I suggest that you spend more time putting your own thoughts into a few threads rather than creating lots and lots of of one line question threads.
