Iâm a psych major and I agree. psychology is a dressed up philosophy that appears to be a more practical way of solving problems, but in actuality it is just a orphaned child trying to find his way back home. The discovery of the practice of psychology is one of the dullest moments of my life. Donât let me get to the practice of psych itselfâŚIT begins well psych does with philosophers and then the sophists. But everything thereafter is a bunch of uninteresting garb that tries to pass at sounding professional and important. There were a few interesting minds but not nearly enough to keep me interested. Pavlov was a narrow-minded whore of his practice. Behaviorists were blinded to other schools of thought. Those of schools of thought blinded to other schools of thought. The end of psychologyâs history ends on the only sensible realistic notion which is this: Psychology hasnât figured itself out just yet.
Rote memorization only dulls this mind into regret and then anger and then resignation. Followed by (hopefully if i have 1/200th motivation reserved for school) a degree.
