I’m not aware of the meaning of SIMS. But I think your analogy is a good one. Do you see an individual’s understanding of reality as upheld by forces outside the human psyche? Who are the governing spiritual energies?
Yes, but metaphors, unlike similes, are not structured as well, therefore, they need a license for usage. A poetic license, a claim of the right to use the spider’s web, to express meaning to those, to whom similarly such right was granted, needs to be severely curtailed, if , and only if, such meaning would draw a total closure of even the possibility to meaning.
Until that author-ity be found, poetic liscence is assumed to be an inherent right. This gives the benefit of doubt to fledgling authors, artists, writers.
Otherwise, expression as an art becomes a fallacious reduction ad populum.
The mind prefers it that way, keeping the imitation of art the primary preoccupation of life.
Sim means subscriber identity module. It is a simple chip that network service providers provide to their customers to incert in their phones, in order to enable them to make and receive calls through that network. Some phones come with embedded and Unchangeable Sims also.
Can the mind accurately discover what lies in the environment? If it could not, we could not survive. IMHO, the senses accurately portray what is outside the human body. The physics definition of sound as requiring a transmission, a medium and a receiver spells out what the mind does. Environment transmits, senses are the medium, the mind is the receiver.
