What Personal Quality Do You Most Despise?

I wonder if you percive your own intolerance and how it is a survival mechanism.

Discrimination is what the mind was meant to do.
Whether you are indoctrinated into a modern cultural and moral system that labels some discrimination unwanted or evil or destructive and others not, is a matter of happenstance.

In another time and place you would be burning witches or killing adulterers and infidels and you would consider yourself the epitome of goodness and what is right, all the while maitnaining the air of humility which makes you unthreatening to your own kind.

That certain prejudices become destructive to group cohesion and so are detrmimental to herd psychologies explains why they are raised to the degree of evilness or illness or dysfunction.

Well at elast your neighbors think you’re a great guy, no matter the hypocrisy and absence of awareness your statments expose.
You are a nice guy; an example of a cultural idealized mind seeking validation and sexual opportunities.

Like I said the consciuos hypocrite loses an edge in his peformance because he doesn’t buy into it. A succesful bullshiter must actually beleive in his own bullshit and so appears genuine and honest.

Read some psychology on how civilization results in repressions and sublimations of natural human drives.

Arrogance and ignorance combined.

Some people have a right to be arrogant.

Metallica said that arrogance and ignorance go hand in hand.

A simple and beautiful point.

People who have no goddamned sense of humor irritate me to the nines.
I’m not sure what attribute that would be … “tightassedness?”

I hate it when people think that because they work hard that they should get the same things that I do. Smart people get what they want. Dumb people don’t. It doesn’t matter if a dumb bastard works his ass off. He just isn’t entitled to the rewards of intelligence and needs to stay outta my face about it!

idiocy

Too despise someone’s personality, will prematurely cause you too,
not subject their lifestyle to change. And when someone permanently
stonewalls their self from someone else. It can only get worse.

Weak , Fake people. Those who i consider Chameleons. People who never tell you want they truly feel, they just agree with you and tell you what you want to hear. Just so you like them. Those who dont stand up for there beliefs. THose without a Backbone. I hate those people. They just lie and lie and lie. I fucking hate liars.

I don’t like people who think that being smart makes them better. I don’t like real estate agents or local TV news anchors. I don’t like people who have more power than me.

Are you serious? I can’t tell. I disagree.

Shouldn’t the value of your work should be the basis of your reward?

Ya…Where did this strued idea that all humans are equal? sorry, were not. Me and the guy born without use of his legs makes me a better runner. Plain and simple. Some people are smarter. Some are dumber. Dumb people should not be in positions were intelligence is required.

James Brown was a moron.

James Brown is Jame Brown.

I’d take one Jame Brown over a million Bill Gates.

First would be despictableness, soon followed by clever.

Lack of imagination/Mental Apathy

Colinsign’s Andre Breton quote sums it up the best I think.

I like Microsoft…

I like Microsoft too.

My point though, is you don’t have to be smart to contribute something and that people should be rewarded for what they contribute. People don’t deserve something just for being smart. A smart person has to use that smartness to make something.

James Brown brought fun and excitement to people’s lives. He wasn’t smart. I don’t think he could spell his name, but he did something more for more people than most could have, smart or not, and that is what economics is all about.

You supply.

i hate dishonest people - those who lie, and arrogant people too

I’ve read all the posts, and I have to ask, has it dawned on anyone that you gotta be somewhere, and that no matter where it is, it is subject to all the pitfalls of simply being human? Better than this, better than that… as if any position or lofty place confers some sort of implied saintliness. The emperor ain’t got no clothes on - and we’re - every last one of us - the emperor.

But wait, I must be wrong. Judgementalism rules, right?

I’d just say that we’re talking about what we don’t like. You can’t like everyone. If you liked everyone, than you’d like no one, right? What would be the meaning of a friendship if you felt everyone was your friend?
