What should I do?

Ok there is a job I interviewed for that I would really like. Unfortunately the guy I interviewed for was a total dope. He arrived about an hour late, forgot my application and has not returned two messages I have left on his phone asking for the status of our interview.

I dont know what to do, I am so frustrated. Should I consider this fate and let it go? Or should I keep bugging this dope ? Or should I go a step further and take action by contacting the company, telling them what happened and kindly ask to be interviewed by someone else for a fair shot?

ARGH! (Oh in case youre wondering why I would want him for a boss, he wouldnt neccessarily be my boss, it’s a big company with a lot of places to work and a lot of managers–he’s just the dope I got stuck with to interview for–lucky me :unamused: )

Opinions? Help! What should I do if anything?

What’s the problem here?

He arrived late, he forgot your resume…

Looks like you’re definitely getting this job. After all, you’re more organized than this dude is.

Uh–what? NO, you dont get it! Thats why im so frustrated! My fate is in this dope’s hands! It is up to him to get me another iterview or not and he isnt even returning my calls!

What is this corporation you’re applying to? I ask because it’s relevant to what advise I’ll give…

They sell clothing and what not.

K: Ah, now you get it. Our fate is always in some dope’s hand.

What does that mean?

PG,

I’d go down there and say the following to whoever:

“Hi, um I’m looking for [dope] as I was supposed to be contacted by him but failed to follow up. During the initial interview he seemed to have lost my resume so I thought I’d bring another one down just in case.”

You look like the eager beaver, plus you paint that guy in a negative light – which only helps your cause.

Hmmm…the evil wheels in my head are turning now…perhaps I could even go a step further and drop off my resume, application AND a letter saying:

Dear so-and-so:

Here is my application and resume. I was interviewed by so and so by I fear it might have been insufficient seeing as how he was an hour late to the interview, had forgotten my application had forgotten to request my resume and has failed to return my calls. Therefore, I thought I would be sure to bring them all in myself. If you would like to set me up on another interview with a different manager, I would be more than happy to do that as well. Thank so much.

Sincerely,
So and so

Rubs hands together Yes! Yes! Its BRILLIANT! Don’t you think?

OK no…probably not…

PG: What does that mean?

K: It means we have dope’s and idiots running our lives every
single day of our lives. And if you believe in an afterlife,
you can get one one running your life forever and ever, amen.
