What the hell is ham???

What the hell is ham?

Is is red meat or white meat?

or is it made from alien skin?

What constitutes if it red meat or white if the color isn’t clear?

hmmmmm, help

It’s a dead pig, an animal, cooked, treated and sliced.

A

White or dark meat would be more apropriate like in poultry. Like in poultry, the thighs, legs and butt portion is a dark meat. compared to the torso meat. Hence the coined phrase “The other white meat”

Red meat, like beef, has a different grain and texture to it or maybe denseness and it does not have different colors not matter which portion you have.

I always prefered the dark portions to me it seems to have a better flavor. There lies my butcher knowledge, I just cook and eat, never thought too much about the cuts.

ham is a radio

pork is the other white meat

-Imp

So that explains the flavor and the crunchys that were in it. I thought it was a touch acidic

Was ham named after the biblical Hamm or was the beer?

Mike,

Who cares? Pig is pork is ham is delicious. Caveat: when it turns green, don’t eat it. hmmm, wait a minute. Send it to Tabula. He’ll eat anything even remotely connected to pork.

I honestly don’t care that much. My friend just wanted to know at work, so I said I would post it online to see what I would get.

=D>

The cut of meat and the dry-aging or smoking process accounts for the color.

Humans will become increasingly removed from knowledge of biology, thus creating a return of the dark ages.

Bring out the Branston, and then we’re talking. Indeed, if one happens to use cottage cheese in one’s cheese sauce (for macaroni or the like) then ham is a great way to add flavour and also aid the thickening process that determines the entire success or failure of the dish. Indeed, adding pickle to a cheese sauce, should this be a flavour you enjoy, is a masterstroke I developed when living in halls of residence. Soy Sauce is great for the flavour, but turns the colour of the sauce to brown (from white/yellow), and as such it looks unpleasant to many eyes. So, bear in mind that what you gain in flavour you lose in colour. That’s flavor and color, for anyone who is confused.

Believe it or not, Wiki has an entry on “White Meat”.

Says ham is red meat (which it is, when raw).

beef is red, pork is not, it is like poultry with different meat, dark and light meat… Just as humans have dark and light meat. Uh we are considered Long pork :evilfun: and everything tastes like chicken!

its white meat, as in pork the other white meat

as in baby…the other other white meat

prosciuto, mi amici ^^

Isn’t it chicken… or fish? (jessica km simpson)

Are you salivating over me, the ham or Jessica, Tabula?
(or perhaps all three? :sunglasses: )

He lives in Turkey.

A

Oh, I forgot

So does that mean the ham and the barely clothed Jessica are being salivated over because both are forbidden in Turkey due to gov’t. religion laws? or are Goats with braces a delicacy in Turkey?

Wait a thought just occured and it is semi serious Ok not serious but curious. Are there there wild and or tame turkeys in Turkey? I can’t imagine they are called turkeys, though are they? If not what are they called?
