If you (the world, your family, you, whatever the case) were to receive contact from something that is “beyond” . . . Interdimensional, extraterrestrial. Whatever. Let’s just use “beyond.”
Do you THINK that you have an EXPECTATION as to the NATURE of this contact?
Do you THINK that you have a BIAS that is potentially VERY WRONG about the nature of this contact?
Are you considering the multitude of whatever WAY that this could happen, or do you have a SET IDEA over HOW this would happen??
Your first reaction to the unknown is usually the most real experience, despite the then-state of (delusional) advanced self-awareness, triggered by the fight-or-flight bodily response. Balancing this degree of self-awareness with skepticism is the key.
My thoughts of contact with the “beyond” are influenced by the book “The Mayan Factor” and the possibility that there is a gallactic federation that has higher God consciousness. I think it is possible that a higher God consciousness is the natural result of furthering our scientific understanding of what is. A perspective of reality that is limited to knowing through our natural senses and primitive experience of life is going to lack scientific explanations, and advancing scientific explanations can lead to a realization we haven’t had yet.
I generally just wing it when socializing with strangers and encountering odd things. It does no good to plan, something always botches the plan. Winging it allows freedom to manuever and not get stuck in a preconceived pattern. Much more fun too.
What if what already happened? Contact with aliens? We do not know, but there is plenty of reason to believe it did already happen and will happen again.
Have you read the “Chariot of the Gods” series of books? How about “The Inhabited Universe”? Someone who worked for NASA said the bible gives an eye witness account of the landing of a space craft, and the bible makes many statements that could be understood as contact with aliens. So do other holy writings. Around the world, many primitive people are waiting for the return of someone, and on Easter Island we have stone heads looking to the skies. There is a lot that can be said, and many books written on the subject. I don’t know where to begin. Tarot cards, the Great pryamid of Gisa and Mayan calander with its I Ching complement, might be giving us agreeing clues of about the present and near future.
PS, I listened to the tube announcement you have attacked to profile, and that is way too much Hollywood drama for me. In my opinion the message was made difficult to hear by the music and wavering voice, and so fastastic, the whole notion is discredited. Earth never was a Garden of Eden, and human nature brings us to where we are, not some evil force eternal to us.
Athena- much of any evidence I would perscribe for you is obscure and not at all satisfying.
Would you find it interesting that the current explosion (call it epidemic if you will) of New Age extraterrestrial channeling (and they admittedly call it that) is posted unhesitantly without demand for money. Is all quite consistent together. AND is ALL VERY consistent WITH the phenomena that have plagued our ancient world like stones that NO TOWER crane can lift, that have never been reproduced in size, that have never been the same. With more recent surprising prophecy. With numerology. With astronomy (I bet you thought I was going to say astrology). With strange biological findings. WITH recently uprooted findings of government plots. With recent scientiffic findings . . .
But the vast collection to satisfy even this argument is hard work and time consuming. Without much backing, it requires a hook of curiousity to get the ball rolling. I get nothing financial out of it. But it’s not necessarily a selfless act.
