What would happen if the people who insult each other on the internet actually went out and killed the people they insulted?

Why don’t most people do this ? It seems cowardly not to.

And what is the meaning behind being cowardly?
Shouldnt you be cowardly?
What if you are cowardly?
Does it justify things when you do them for the purpose of not being cowardly?

Takes more courage to have a civil discussion that recognizes the value of every stakeholder, willing to sacrifice your preferences for the greater good.

Or just insult them to their face and accept the consequences.

Like I’d love to do to Trump, except he’s so friggin oblivious it would be wasted breath.

What would happen? A lot of people would die. It would probably lead to forums like this one having tougher moderation. Many people in the families of killers and killed would be sad.

Listening to one’s fear and concern (for self and others) is not cowardly. It would not be sane to fearlessly end up in prison with someone’s blood on our hands. Further, there’s empathy and other stuff in us, not just the rage.

Good question being a coward is expressing anger/hatred towards people or person’s but never actually acting on it for cowardly reasons.

How did you end up with this idea?

You cut out the last part of what I said not actually acting on those emotions.

If you mean what does the word sane mean, then it means connected to reality, you have working rational and intuitive abilities to deal with life. Opposite of insane.

Pehaps some of them. Others may well have the full range of emotions and interpersonal behaviors.

Define reality ? And define life ?

Could you be specific about your concerns when you see me use those words. Because one could write 20 books on each of those questions and still perhaps not give you the information you are looking for. Do you think you and I mean very different things with those words? Are you concerned that you might not be sane and why are you concerned about that if you are?

Because the premise itself is something that makes no sense, the conclusion is a separate manner.

How is cowardice, as in avoiding confrontation, fighting, pain, risk, difficulty, as in being without courage, mean that one is not only being angry/hateful, but also somehow expressing this?
Are you sure that cowardice is the word you wanted to use? Because what you are describing doesnt sound like it.

There’s a difference between courage and rashness. Killing someone over their obliviousness is rash. Speaking truth to “power” (if tantruming toddlers is power), which is sometimes making fun of it… is courageous… if not a complete waste of breath.

Do you believe that those words are objective ?

What’s the point of having that emotion if no action comes from it ?

I’m not sure what you mean here. Could you explain?
