whats better? 1year of freedom or 99 years in prison?

What better living in a paranoid prison for 99 years or 1 year of total freedom?

can we get a 100% answer either way to this?

If there was abusive homos in the prison then I’d chose 1 year freedom, but if the prison had internet and no abuse, I’d chose 99 years of prison.

Living long is good. Strange questions. Caged rabbits don’t mind being imprisoned. Pain of prison all depends on the species and the natural desires.

dan, there are abusive homosexuals in all prisons. what would you do if you were in an all male prison for years? every man has his hormones.

in this world, there is no such thing as total freedom. i think earth is a prison and the federal prisons are smaller chains of prisons with less freedom.

if you’re in federal prison, your freedom is placed in other hands. so… you can go for a parole and possibly be released back into the “free world” but not have all the freedom as every other normal human being. but that all can change with good behavior, yes it will take some time, hell maybe years but with good behavior, you’ll be off parole and put back into the “free world” like you were before you served jail time. in conclusion, if you have the patience, you can have more than one year of “total” freedom with choosing 99 years of federal prison. so i would have to go with 99 years of federal prison.

The Greeks, during their last war of independence against the Turks, had a saying:
Better one hour of freedom than forty years of slavery and prison.

It’s a no brainer… 1 year of freedom, but given the crappy choices, I would simply rather not exist.

What happens after the 1 yr of freedom?

William!

How are you?!

I agree, except with this:

Now, I personally would not want to live past 100 years old. Unless I could have excellent health, lots of energy, and be very active at 100, I hope I will die peacefully before then.

National Geographic magazine did an incredible job in an article that appeared in one of 2005’s issues. The article was on the topic of “Centenarians” (people over 100 years old). One person they mentioned in the article was an extremely active woman who is currently something like 106 years old. She, herself, works a very busy, demanding job as a nursing-home staff member. She even drives her own car, etc.

The article’s purpose was to research what things cause a person to live for such a great many years.

Sorry if I went off-topic. I just thought that this was worth mentioning.

One year of freedom, no matter what follows.

Could we define prison a little better though?

I mean, if it was your run of the mill federal prison, that’s fine. Walls can’t hold a mind, after all. They give you books and there is space to practice.

However if my thought itself was somehow restricted (mind control or somesuch), I would choose one year of freedom.

99 yrs in prison would be my choice. 1year of total freedom? no thanks. Too dangerous and too lonely
