what's the biggest lie you tell yourself?

I do.

It’s funny what we see. I didn’t see this as depressing at all. I saw it as human… a little puff of fresh air amongst the babble.

.

That … if I just keep accurately and respectfully presenting the ontologically based truths of reality that fly in the face of the masses of reality-denying moral relativists who react by initiating ad hominems against me, the messenger, because they have no realistic and rational response to the truth of the message I present that they just can’t emotionally handle and when I merely reflect their ad hominem manifested transference and projection back at them … I won’t get banned from this forum.

Jenny,

Do you want to be banned? Sounded like you are taunting them. That’s my job, sister.

No.

Nor have I initiated behavior worthy of banning or done anything truly worthy of being banned.

That’s the primary erroneous perception around here.

I’m merely responding to having been taunted from the beginning and in a way that reflects that taunting back at the taunters.

There is a definite movement afoot to ban me.

Then do your job, sister … and distract the moral relativists away from me before it’s too late.

Jenny,

One trick to avoid a negative focus would be to provide a rationale, theory, explanation, or even a referrence for what you claim as sound idea. Even a half “hearted” attempt would help the attacks that come your way.

Jennyheart,

Please don’t make be get those flying monkeys. :sunglasses:

Rather than co-operate with you to derail this thread, MP, I would prefer you create an “Ask Jenny” thread in Mundane Babble if you really need to have the obvious explained to you.

But, since you asked, and, for the last time in this thread …

… I have provided ontological substantiation for my ontological presentations.

You, being a moral relativist, lack an ontological foundation.

So you keep requesting, as you do here, what is philosophically impossible: an epistemologicaly substantiation for the “I am” and related ontological experiences that are both axiomatic and common to us all.

You are thus requesting that I, in effect, “mentally masturbate” – which is what epistemology – especially the extremist pragmatist variety – without an ontological foundation is. :sunglasses:

I refuse to mentally masturbate with you, MP.

That may be your addiction.

But I don’t suffer from it.

Your lack of respect for the ontological aspects that we all share is the orientation of your frustration in this regard.

Jenny - stop telling pork pies (we’ve ALL seen how offensive you are, with or without provocation!). And stop derailing threads. Please!

my biggest lie is that I don’t believe in true love.

I am a hopeless romantic, and it blows.

Besides that, I try not to tell myself too many lies.

I think that it would be best to create a “Tell Jenny As She Quietly Listens” thread, but that’s just me.

Anyone up for making that?

Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being “in love” which any of us can convince ourselves we are.

Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. It has roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from the branches you will find that you are one tree and not two.

I didn’t write this, but it speaks of true love. It isn’t what you think. sirswedish… But you should believe in it.

True means true. I didn’t say unconditionally lifelong now, did I. The “true” part? That is the easy part. The “lifelong”? That, my dear, is the hard part.

BIGGEST LIE EVER.

Bessy wants me, badly, and she wants me for my mind.

Damn is it a hot fantasy though. Never fails to satisfy.

Is that so. Hmmmm. I must say, you wolves are all alike. :sunglasses:

What did you mean when you said “emotional bartering.” Who does that? All women don’t, ya know.

WRONG THREAD FOR THAT DISCOURSE,

and yes they do!!!

P.S. There is but one true Wolf. Woof.

P.P.S. He cares not for sheeps clothing, prefers to hide amoung the herd.

I keep telling myself that one day women will no longer lust in their loins for me.

Who the hell do I think I’m kidding?

I even try playing ‘hard to want’ to no avail.

It’s all pointless.

Even dudes want me.

I tell myself this isn’t true.

And I know I’m lying.

Hence, I lie to myself regarding a lie to myself.

The ego-fargin’-centric lie. The best kind.

Of course I’m lying to myself right now.

That I’m worthy enough to be in my career.

I am a woman and if I want to switch threads I will do so. LMAO. LA will come in now and bash me for being June. I freakin love her.

(June, that is)

“everything will be ok”…what a load of ****!.
that’s about the only lie iv’e told myself.

“The world is all fucked up and incorrect.”

That tends to be a big one, which many people feel/experience.

But the counter would be:
“Says who?”

Expectations don’t mean jack-shit to the universe, and the universe has no pitty, so it wouldn’t care how sad anyone or anything gets about anything. Reality, in and of itself, is unbiased.
