What's your job?

How do you make your living? I’m a college student, working as a busboy during the summer. Aspiring to work in business someday.

I have no job. I plan to rot away in my basement, playing on the internet, until I die.

i’m a sandwich artist

i am on A.I.S.H. My potentail for the work force went down the craper with the horror of… the past.

some people get a great start. some get just enough to fly outta the nest.

and some… some…

get MY start.

in the past when i was at the age:“oh you gotta geta job” “yu gotta support yerself” “what will you do for a living?”

i’d wanted to be a scientist.i also MAY have wanted to be a botanist.i cant remember exactly.it gets hazey… lator i figured computer work would be right up my ally. i still have some faith in the latter. but time and unforseen occurance befall us all…*

that reminds me.a relative of mine, which i only visited once,he said something important.“what are you doing these days?(i cant remember the first part)What your doing now is what always going to be doing.”

well it was true in my case at that age i guess, but it likely isnt true of everyone.

*which reminds me of my favorite scripture, but i’m not sure folks here want to hear about that…

I’m a magician. :sunglasses:

you work at subway?i saw that line somewhere in subway. i love subway…
gets nostalgic

I’m a college money spender… .

Research scientist in hematology.

Right now I’m mostly dicking around in genetics and biochemistry when I ought be focusing on immunology. Stupid immunology . . .

I repair notebooks full time while going to school part time. “It kinda fuckin’ sucks.(sic)”

im a giant inflatable cup mascot for Quiznos Subs. my first job ever…(15)

youtube.com/watch?v=cK8MQzyIDPU

that is actual footage of me. i am inside the cup enjoy

So why do all the people shonving the giant cup have US accents?

I get paid to browse the internet all day and occassionally answer emails.

because i likve in america

i’m at that fun couple of months between school and uni.

oh and i’m working as a barmaid for the summer to make money…

I’m a broadcast engineer for a CBS television affiliate. I spend Fridays until Sunday evenings, year 'round, living and working alone in a hut atop Mount Mansfield, the highest mountain in Vermont.

Here is a photograph of my view looking toward the Adirondak Mountains of upstate New York. Lake Champlain is the waterway you see.

Michael

Thus broadcast Zaramarchustra!

(crowd doesn’t laugh)

uh… heh… taps mic

I said Thus Spoke…

I work primarily internal support for software development …

Yes, I fucking hate it … and no, it’s not really a “living” telling people their CD/DVD ROM is not a modernization of the cup holder, and no, you don’t plug the modem cord directly into the phone, and yes, yes, Windows is generally to blame for everything because our employer is a moron and will not go to Linux …

Of course, then I would be out of a job most likely …

Thanks Windows … you keep me employed by making the dumbest OS ever.

P.S. I build high end PC’s on the side, which isn’t so bad.

Hey Michael,

A good bud of mine {now promoted to head engineer for about 15 stations) had a similar position. I used to go up to the transmitter site with him just for giggles. How much RF probs do you have to contend with?

Funniest story: His tranmitter goes down, we get up to the site and a cooling fan has gone TU. No replacement till the next day Fedex. We hook up a B&D shop vac and get the transmitter back up and running. A quarter of a million dollar piece of electronics depending on a 30 dollar shop vac.

I’m unemployed, unless you count mowing lawns and going to school.

Hi to All,

I am an owner/manager at a company that makes rubber stamps, nameplates, and labels.
