I did not watch the video, I saw the title and left it alone, that and dial up takes for ever to download ,thank goodness in this case, it gave me time to read the title. What is disturbing the most is the people that watch it.
Yes, he acts like a pedophile. (Who knows, it might be a social norm somewhere, but I am not familiar with any culture in which this would be acceptable…and in public). It’s important to make children feel loved and cared for, but this is stepping over the line, and not in a sense that the child will not feel loved if handled in such a way, but that “wrong” impressions might later be formed in him. As far as what is going on with this man, I think (and this is just a theory) that the man is emotionally/psychologically stuck at that boy’s age. I bet, as far a sexual attraction, he sees himself as child in relation to other adults but sees children as though they are on his own level. Likely, formation of pedophilia is similar in nature to formation of sexual fetish (shoe fetish for example), such as when a stimulus X is presented at a crucial time in a child’s development and becomes imprinted/wired. Present X to a child in a loving way, and the child will accept it as status quo and will incorporate it into his bigger world view. I don’t think it’s wise to introduce children to the world of sexuality (and I am not talking about dogs and cats and birds and bees here). Most humans are introduced to the world of sex at puberty (as a new kind of learning) and if a child has already been ahem it might be harder for him to “move forward” and learn this anew, in an adult age. As far as whether it’s possible for a pedophile to re-learn, or overcome this I don’t really know (though I’m thinking a man would have to always need to have conscious control over something like this). Just my two cents on this video.

Yeah according to most people at ILP the parent’s rights to be perverted and adopt are more important than the kid’s right to have a chance at a normal life.
I think all you really have to do here is ask “Would I want that guy to adopt my kid?”
