Where are "you" in your body?

What’s its function?

You’re thinking chakras, and confusing the crown chakra with the third-eye chakra.

I think it involves being enlightened in which the being can now see through the illusion of existence. I don’t think it then matters if the original two eyes are open.

Is there a third eye chakra?

I’ve read it may be associated with the pineal gland.

And the pineal gland is responsible for dreams and drug related mystic experiences.

Interesting, I hadn’t heard that before. I know Descartes thought it was important.

Well, a third eye would be like achieving a higher level of perception. I’m not sure it would be sight dependent, literally.

It’s interesting to speak with a blind person on this, since I’m familiar with a song lyric that says, “The wider the eyes, the bigger the lies.” And that always stuck with me as true.

I find it quite interesting talking to sighted people about these things, because although we use the same language, and in theory understand the meanings of all the words, sometimes they seem to be on another planet.

I’ve had to check myself a number of times, as to whether my comparisions would translate. When I said the word ‘triangle’, I thought about how you know that shape from touch, but I lacked a better way to describe the positioning.

Lol I know what a triangle is.

Haha, I thought you knew the shape, but I was speaking about it visually, and didn’t know if I had to elaborate about the top point where the third eye would be.

But there are times that I’ve used the words "see’ and ‘watch’ with you and wondered if on some level I’m being insensitive. We also had a discussion about trust, and I later realized that you can’t afford to not trust, since you move around on the good faith of others all the time.

I use words like see and watch all the time. Never be afraid to use certain words because it’s blindingly obvious when people do that and it’s squirmingly, painfully embarrassing. I don’t know why they think they can’t use them.

With regard to triangles, and shapes in general, although I don’t have a visual sense I do have a very strong spatial sense and have no trouble imagining them.

Lol

consciousness is not really a noun, we just use it as one as a convenience. consciousness is a stream of sensations, as I experience it anyway. and as such, it is the entirety of my body. simple

Sometimes I am my penis. (though ‘my’ seems wrong, it’s more ‘the’ penis)

You don’t perceive it to be concentrated at a specific point?

no, and there’s really no reason to. For the sighted, just close your eyes for about an hour and you won’t feel so heady. it’s not a thing to concentrate on. Most if not all sensations travel to or through the brain, so from a scientific point you could say its up there, but we would still use the phrase “brain transplant” instead of “body transplant”

A contingent system of both my brain my autonomic nerves and any nervous system in my body including the one that creates dietary influences on the brain. So in essence I am at no one particular point in my body but I am at one particular point at one time depending on my sensory network. To say I am behind my eyes makes no sense to the OP I assume, any more than me saying I am in my prefrontal cortex because that is a higher function. The brain only orchestrates sensory input, it has no way to decide what sensory input will be received, we are hence our whole sensory system and we reside in all of it.

Cerebral… always have been, always will be… others keep trying to bring me down to earth, but why
