Where did knowledge first began?

I don’t follow

knowledge was always here…
and it is part of human nature to want to attain more knowledge and become smarter…

Define “knowledge”

I agree with all those who said “knowledge was always there”

Without a frame of refrance how could you ever identify anything as being “knowledge”?

however you define the word “knowledge” it is nessisarily a refreance to something you have encountered… and if you have encountered it… it is there… and has in all likelyhood always been there… If you define it as something you have NOT encountered… then it is gibberish and you might as well ask which spicegirl eternity looks like…

Can you attain less knowlege? Until you learn to forget who you are?

Its because you are not a follower of anything. Your a Pyhrro.

I define knowledge as information, and all information has mutual existence with conciseness. Without its link to consciousness it does not exist, based on this premise knowledge first appeared in synchrony with the first consciousness.

[-X I disagree, it was impossible in human beings past and is still impossible to determine this. Knowledge is perceptions of the world not the world itself that exists independently from concisenesses. This is different. We don’t know if conciseness has always been contained within our world. As well as that what do you mean by human nature, as a conciseness may not want to learn or improve its mind due to lack of self-esteem. However the mind is naturally going to absorb information but this does not mean the mind wants to. Think of a sponge in water, which does not wish to take in water, but still inevitably it does in that instance.

In the beginning knowledge was no more than transmitted experiece. The knowledge of picking fruit and eat them.Just as in the case of animals. Maybe a definition of human knowledge is necessary.
Knowledge is a process as well as a product of human experiences, observations, mental constructs.
Knowledge can have many forms: magic(ex. Vodou), esthetic(ex.poetry), scientific(ex.physics), mystical(ex.sufism), philosophical(ex.metaphysics), religious(ex.Buddhism)
Scientific knowledge is produced by rational thinking and experiment.
Human knowledge is transmitted through experience and also through an oral or written tradition.
Human knowledge is limitless in scope.Knowledge as a human activity develops in time, makes progress(einstein versus newton), stagnates(the middle ages science).
Knowledge is what gives man his status that of “paragon of animals”(Shakespeare, Hamlet).

My a Pyhrro?

Define knowledge as you understand it, dan020350.

I don’t think I have the knowledge to define what is knowledge.
Just as you move your arms or legs, you cannot define how you move it, you just move it.

I can’t, but it can be defined.

Knowledge defining knowledge? Hows that possible?

Mating instinct was the first knowledge.

“If we don’t fuck out species is doomed.”

In not-so-many-words.

“Knowledge” is some data within the organism.
Before knowledge found its way into the brain it was within the DNA & RNA… And before that, there was only the father, and the father is chaos.

The primary instict is to survive. Mating is a way to survive, it is not the only way to survive, but it helps to renew your species.

Duder wrote about the above quote:

I’ll further explain. I’ve read somewhere about a mechanical arm that was attached to a man who’se arm had been amputated, and the sensors were linked to his brain, and he was somewhat able to move the fingers.
