Where did the Heavily-Moderated Forum Go?

Where did the Heavily-Moderated Philosophy board go? Was it removed because it just was not as of a “success” as it was intended to be? Either way, I could care less that it is no longer around. I’m just curious.

One thing I do like about ILP is that the staff is not to shy to try “experimental boards” once in a while, just to see if the idea will catch on. This is how you find sucess in life (by risk).

The HM Philosophy forum is only visible to staff as discussions are ongoing as to what to do with the content…

I remember being against that sort of attitude in the original thread. If you don’t want to talk philosophy in the highest elevation of spirit, than what is there left to live for ? The HM forum was, as Jon F I believe pointed out, a benchmark for philosophy debates unparalleled on the internet. Now that is something you could care more about.

Where is your will to power, people ?!

The Will to Power of ILP sawed off the ideatic plank on which it was balanced and fell into the metaphorical pond full of piranha…

Yes, but there was times when no one would post in the HM board for weeks at a time (If I remember correctly). And only certain members could post in there. Why not allow all members with more than one post to post in the HM board. And then, the moderators could moderate it heavily. That way, you have more people which = a greater variety of opinions and thoughts — and yet, only the truly philosophical posts would remain for any length of time in the board (due to the heavy-moderation).

It’s just a thought…

It was a forum to very experienced people. I could never post there, for instance, since I am not specialized in Philosophy, and then I couldn’t adress a long discussion.

Mucius,

what is this Will to Power you talk about, after all?

yeah i wondered where it had gone as well, but like fabiano said, it was for experienced people only, which is why i wouldn’t post there even if i could. but i think that assuming it’s still around and only mods can see it, it should be set up that the rest of us can read the discussions, just not post.

Can we get read-only access to it?
