where has your god gone?

What was before life?. Nothing that I can remember!

what is after life?. nothing that I know of!

But Where has your god gone?

I can not see his face!

I can not hear his whispers!

I can not smell his scent!

I can not Touch his white skin!

I can not have a conversation with him

yet. he created the universe; he created the billion to the billion suns and decided to make one speck special.one grain of sand. one speck of man. one speck that is naturally destructive. one speck that he watches over.

but why would he do such a thing?

why would he create a life form that slowly dies while he remains the higher power?

why would he create two sexes, if not for evolution;

why would one in ten people be homosexual; YET STILL IN THE CLOSET.

why would he not answer your prase?

is he not perfect? does he not have the power?

does he have a brain like man, floating in the depth of space? how does he think? how does he move? what is his purpose?

who created god?

where did he come from?

did god create man? or did man create god?

was he there from the beginning?

when was the beginning?

was he there at all?

is he there at all?

if he wanted me to believe in him then why doesn’t he send a second son?

but isn’t he his son?

some call Jesus god,

the Jews don’t call Jesus at all!

why would there be so many religions?

which one is the right one?

will I goto hell if I dont believe in him?

but which religion is the right one?

would he die if every man stopped believing in him?

is he not an attention seeker?

tell me god, why am I here?

Why do I rise from something I have forgotten? like it never happened at all?

why do I eat the grain from a field?

why do I eat the meat of a sheep, a lamb, a cow, a dog, a mammoth, a child? my own child!

Is it not a reflection of where I came from?

A cave, A tree, a mouse!

what about the dinosaurs?

where was I then?

did I fall from the sky after they died?

like a spec of infinite nothing!

like the spec you put in the path of earth, to berried the dinosaurs!

but why did you allow there fossils to remain?

but why does science tell me they were alive?

why am I told they left the pastures of earth 60 million years ago?

what happened then god?

did you replenish the earth?

did you take a breath every 7th day for the next 60 million years?

but what was this purpose?

why?

why is there a city of millions

why does socialism fail?

is it not human greed?

do I not want what I do not have?

do I not care of the government enough like the ant?

why magnetism?

why did you make the wave come and go?

why is the electromagnet the source of all human power?

why do some praise you o’ lord? while others don’t?

can they not see the good you have done?

can they not see the millions upon millions starving?

while I fill my greed!

why do you send a strike of lightning to the ground?

does it make you angry?

the way the world treats you!

why do I sin once I have been forgiven?

where is the gate to heaven?

where is the gate to hell?

where is the gate to re-birth?

where is the gate to nil?

‘ill tell you where’ said lord god,

‘it is where you want it to be’

but why lord god?

‘because I am your imagination’

then why do I feel your presence lord god?

‘because you are mortal’

‘you are a man, and you cant answer my question!’

forgive me lord god, but what is thy question?

‘the answer I can not answer’

pardon?

‘the answer you can not answer!’

what?

‘the answer’

but what answer is this?

‘the one you need to answer’

but what is your answer?

‘but why do you ask?’

but why am I asking?

‘because you are my man!’

‘you are the reason I am alive’

‘I am the reason I am alive’

‘I am the answer, to all the answers you cannot answer, for I am your brain, I am your sin, I am your street light, your rib’

‘BUT WHY MUSENT MAN EAT FROM THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE?’

but you already told me o’ lord, it would be a SIN.

where have you gone?

I can no longer her you breathing!

did you go somewhere else?

or where you there already?

how can you be so many places at once?

WHERE ARE YOU NOW LORD GOD?

DO YOU NOT WANT OTHERS TO BELIEVE IN YOU?

DO YOU NOT WANT ME TO BELIEVE IN YOU?

I HAVE FORGOTTEN YOU!

YOU HAVE LEFT THE EARTH!

BUT WHEN WILL YOU RETURN?

WHAT TECHNOLOGY WILL YOU BRING?

AM I NOT EVOLVING INTO THE SKY?

AM I NOT ABOUT TO CONQUER ANOTHER GRAIN OF SAND?

WHERE AM I LORD GOD?

WHY AM I?

where has the oil gone?

why do the trees grow faster?

why does my skin burn while the black skin does not?

did I not evolve from them?

to the white fields of Europe?

but what happened to the large nose?

did I take a large breath?

when will I exhale?

why is the right side also the side of religion?

why is the left side the side that fails?

why am I crying lord god?

why am i bleeding lord god?

why is the face of earth crying?

why is the face of earth bleeding?

why is the face of earth dieing?

I just read your post/poem because I was attracted to the title. I think that in one fell swoop you have capsulized all the questions people have asked regarding the apparent absurdity of the Godhead throughout the ages.

In reference to this question/line: “is he not an attention seeker?” I had an interesting conversation with a Pagan a few months ago, in which he told me that he had accepted Christ when he was seven years old, and by the time he was ten, people at his church were unable to answer certain questions that had developed in his mind, including that one. If self-righteousness were a sin, why would God be so self-righteous as to demand our praise?

My first response was to say that since God is perfect, his “self-righteousness” is actually perfect righteousness, and therefore justified. However, this left open the question: “why does would he still need our praise?” (If he is perfect, he would not be in need at all.)

I didn’t have an answer for that at the time, but later a friend of mine and I theorized that God does not “need” for us to praise Him, but we humans need to praise God. It doesn’t add or subtract anything to His glory, but it adds something to us.

Pax and Shalom.
