while in solitude how many voices are in your head?

i’ve only ever heard 1. except when putting myself in someone elses perspective(though its also MY interpertation of they’re perspective) example; i wonder what he’s thinking(in referance to me witnessing someone
neraly having a car accident)

I counted them up and came up with two. One is mine, the other is that of Gavin singing, “Blood is like wine, unconscious all the time. If I had it all again, I’d change it all”.

sure its not just you signing? i mean, your voice is only distinguisable if you can hear it. so whos to say its not your voice and “his” thought.

it is never you in your head, you are more close to your heart, all thoughts speaking in you all voices that you hear are to open your eyes soul to inviting it to be despite all the chains locking her doors

iman = so are thoughts preperation for action?

just be direct, tell it like it is. don’t run in circles that all lead back to god/nature/ and a haze over what you really mean.

Okay, now I hear Gwen Stefani in my head. But I can’t sing in her range. Am I transposing? Then there’s the voice that is telling me to hurt the children, and the other one that tells me that I’ll never amount to anything. That last one sounds like my ex.

Where are you going with this, by the way?

sometimes offbeat topics migrate to specific issues, i had someone tell me recently that some people get so overcome with religion that they have a constant tug-of-war going on in thier head with thier morality. i told them at the time that i figured schizophrenia could account for that but they didn’t agree. they said some people let god rule thier lives and it has a detrimental effect on thier lives. i think that anyone who is torn between “good” and “bad”
are too self conscious. for your average person, tough moral question only come up in conversation and not in everyday life.

The people you describe are having a tug of war because (western) religion is revealed truth - there is no attempt at a morality consistent with people’s own wants. They are overcome with religion, all right. This kind of anecdotal evidence is routinely ignored by metaphysicians of all ilks, not just the religious.

Yeah, I suppose that if God is talking to them, it would drown out their own voices. God can be as loud as he wants. Think of the cacauphony of large herd animals. Who can think straight with all of that?

I have a couple sometimes because I like to play comedic sketches in my mind as things happen in real life.

But mostly just 1… although sometimes I’ll use one voice but adress myself. So that’s like two entities… but then to conceive of this it seems like there is a 3rd perspective, even if only 1 is doing the talking.
