Why can words drive a person to suicide?

What makes words that emotionally strong ?

If the words are taken as what one is, and they relate to social relations, then we as social beings can give those words enormous power. If the words make us think we are X and the thought of being X truly horrible, then we may not want to live. In that case, I think there’s likely something already in place. We have a very negative idea about ourselves - from childhood often. So, hearing words not that seem to confirm this childhood self-assessment can make life seem pointless. In the situation of the first sentence in my post, if you know those words are going around to people who matter to you, life may seem hopeless, even if those words are not true. If you think everyone now thinks X, life might all seem pointless.

For the exact same reasons why words drive human beings to do EVERY thing that they do.

Who said that they do?

you will learn WHY words make something so-called ‘emotionally strong’; that is, if they do, when you understand how much power words have ‘over you’.

This is a misconception.
“Words” implies that the suggestion is coming from an external source, such as another person.
In this setting there is no way for “words” to “drive a person to suicide” because thats not possible.

There is a proverb that demonstrates the issue perfectly and simply:
Offense is never given. It is taken.

Words and suggestions have an impact only when YOU decide of your own volition to act upon them.
Words cannot drive you to suicide.
Only you can drive yourself to suicide.
Words have no more meaning or power than what you assign to them.

Can ‘you’ see the oxymoron and literal self-contradiction here?

Not to ‘me’ it does not.

In fact, the very opposite can be inferred.

But ‘it’ is possible.

In fact, the words that ‘you’ use can have far more power ‘over you’ than 'you realise.

So, when ‘you’ use words ‘you’ NEVER give meaning nor intention, correct?

Also, one can ‘give’ insults, or offense, while another NEVER ‘takes’ what ‘the other’ ‘gave’ as a so-called insult or offense.

‘you’ speak and write here as though there are NO internal words and suggestions within ‘that body’. Are ‘you’ one of these types?

So, if words do not drive ‘you’ to 'suicide ', does this mean there are NO words that ‘drive you’ to do absolutely anything else either?

How do ‘you’ do this exactly? For example, if ‘you’ want to go to the mall, or want to go on vacation, are there NO words AT ALL within that body that say, “I want to go to the mall”, or “I want to go on vacation”?

If there are not, then how do ‘you’ drive to where ‘you’ want to go and get to, exactly?

Maybe ‘you’ want to build a house or a nuclear power plant; what do ‘you’ do that ‘drives you’ in ‘that direction’ and to finish ‘those dreams and creations’, exactly?

If, as ‘you’ say, “you drive you”, then WHO are ‘you’, exactly, and HOW are ‘you’ ‘driving you’, exactly?

This is obviously true. But remember, the meaning and power ‘assigned to words’ are ‘words’ themself. Unless, of course, ‘you’ have some other way of 'assigning ‘meaning and power’. And, if you do, then will ‘you’ please explain HOW ‘you’ ‘assign meaning or power’ without words.

The reason WHY words can drive a human body to finish the consciousness within it is because of the ‘meaning’ the person within ‘assigns’ ‘to words’. Which, again, is absolutely solely dependent upon ‘that body’s Past Experiences’.

Also, what i think will be found to be one of the last words that is ‘used’ before (or drives to) suicide is a word assigned to an ‘emotion’.

Some people’s mental constitution is weak, fragile, and empty, those people are proned to suicide versus those whose mental constitution is stronger.

Imagine someone yells a word at you repeatedly. That feeling gets encoded into how you store the word so that other people can say the word and … often below your awareness … trigger the same feeling that got stored with the word. IF you are very bad at emotional regulation (rather than having already developed resiliency, or having a natural temperament that is oblivious to such things) … and already on the edge of not caring if you die,or (rather) really wishing you would… due to the burden of not being able to regulate the pain (like going through withdrawals of joy you once enjoyed)… enough of those kinds of triggers can tip you over the threshold so that you just call it. You lack the resiliency to see that it won’t last forever, and that good can be brought out of it, and that other people may need your help, so forth. And rather than (or perhaps in combination with) reaching for someone else’s strength (someone with an eternal source of it)… you either just want to join them, or let this passing life go and get the eternal one started.

For the very same reason, encouraging words can bring life.

I would argue that its still a glitch.
Words are not doing anything to you.
You are doing it to yourself.

One can argue that this is a matter of realization, enlightenment, experience, rationality pre-frontal cortex development or whatever else but… its really just repeating the same thing:
There is no more meaning, power or influence to words than what you are willing to give them.

Someone throwing you off of a building is something being done to you. Your will and agency play no role in it.
Someone telling you to jump off of a building on the other hand… now that is simply on you, no matter how you twist it. It requires your cooperation, your will, your decision, your acceptance to execute something you have been told.

Then again… i have been told even by AIs in no uncertain terms that i can go f myself cause my brain is wired into hyper agency with too strong of a cognitive filter and that most human beings do not experience reality the with the same amount of agency and self-awareness i do.
Which sounds completely retarded to me until i start to realize that it perfectly explains why tf i cant comprehend other people’s sheep behavior…

A strong mental constitution is immune to the words spoken by others where in mental fortitude their mind is like a powerful mighty fortress.

A weak mental constitution is like a house made out of hay blown away easily by the wind having no defenses.

The later is always proned to suicide because they have no mental defense towards others.

What could ‘you’ do to “yourself” without words?

And, once again, the meaning, power, or influence that you give to words is WITH ‘words’ themselves.

The very reason ‘you’ will not acknowledge this Fact is because of the meaning, power, or influence you are giving to ‘these words’.

‘you’ will NOT acknowledge the Truth here, because of the ‘inner voice’ and ‘words’ that ‘you’ are using, and hearing.

Again, this has NEVER been only about what ‘another’ says nor tells ‘to you’.

When will ‘you’ comprehend and understand this Fact?

Says ‘the one’ who has been manipulated but believes, absolutely, that it has not.

Says the “sheep”.

  1. What are so-called ‘mental constitutions’, exactly?
  2. How does one obtain a so-called “weak” or “strong” ‘mental constitution’, exactly?
  3. Everyone is ‘proned’ to suicide.

In fact, if ‘you’ were brought up with the exact same experiences as some people have had, then ‘you’ too would have also committed suicide ‘by now’.

Two types of suicide,

1.) The weak mental constitution crumbles and then seeks death afterward.

2.) In confrontation knowing that they’re defeated an individual chooses their own death rather than surrendering to a hostile adversary.

Tell me more about this ‘weak mental constitution’ and whereabouts you got the information from about how after ‘it’ crumbles then that one seeks death afterwards. Obviously no one who has committed suicide has provide any information, so where are you getting your information from, exactly?

How often does this occur?

And, where are you getting your information here from, exactly? How many people after their beliefs and claims have been challenged and defeated that ‘they’ have then just gone and chose suicide?

Also, why did you not mention the actual reason WHY some human beings choose what is called “death” over ‘life’?

Sepukku is not suicide as a result of words, but someone has to be initiated into that “save face and determine your own death with honor” mindset using words, via culture.

Here are more words:
“Nor do you understand that it is better for you that one man should die for the people, not that the whole nation should perish.””
‭‭John‬ ‭11‬:‭50‬ ‭ESV‬‬

It’s kind of ironic how… time and time again throughout history, this is the way things go:

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭50‬:‭20‬ ‭ESV‬‬

…but they can also go the complete opposite direction, preserving one and their family, and letting go of the rest (who have become thoroughly corrupt… not that the ones who were preserved were spotless). Time and time again.

Because words have far more power ‘over’ people than they realised in the days when this is being written.

Kids these days. So desensitized by … global warming.

You think that I don’t even mean
A single word I say

It’s only words, and words are all I have
To take your heart away

I think words are unable to drive - I never seen a driver’s license for ‘preposterous’, for example.

Some people confuse words for what someone ends up thinking by reading words. Those are different. I doubt a word can make anyone do anything - now, the feeling/thought that arises in someone by reading/hearing some word can elicit a chain reaction that ends in that, for sure
