Here is a perfect example of this many people can feel hatred against me and insult me but yet their feelings of hatred and their insults their words do not stop me from existing the only way I could be stopped from existing is if they put physical action into it but yet humans will believe that their feelings and their words are on the exact same level as physical actions why is this ?
im not sure anyone believes insulting someone will stop them from existing… at the same time though, words can be very powerful. it depends on the context i suppose. most people don’t think words will have any physical effect on reality and if they do believe so, then it probably should. maybe like a teacher telling their students to stop speaking.
That’s a pretty narrow implied definition of ‘change reality’. It has to kill someone. Words have kill millions. The pen is mightier than the sword and all that. Words can lead to government policies, the secret police pluck someone up a neighbor reported on, corporate policies, legislation, words muttered to a hit man, the long term indirect affects of a novel. And positive effects also come from words.
Words are an information medium. Information can invoke thoughts and arguments which can lead to action.
Words on their own dont do anything the same way wind or trees wont do anything on their own, you need both to hear the sound of leaves rustling in the wind.
Behavior and misbehavior creates ‘Reality’. Behavior and misbehavior comes from ‘thought’. ‘Thought’ are ‘the words’ ‘we’ say and tell “ourselves”. So, it could be said and argued that actually words can and do create ‘Reality’, or have created the ‘real world’ that ‘we’ have ‘now’ and are living in.
As is the case with a badly healing broken leg… sometimes y’gotta break a broken spirit to reset it back to correct healing. Especially if that broken spirit is viciously calcified/hardened.
Requires learning their personalized magic (key)words.
When I was in high school at my desk, I was chewing gum while slouching in my chair with my feet in the aisle. The teacher approached me and told me to take that gum out of my mouth and put my feet in. That was one hell of an acrobatic physical task!
This is more or less, exactly, what you older people do do.
And, when the so-called ‘internal world’ aligns together properly Correctly, and perfectly with every (other) person, then what is ‘projected outward’ creates the ‘external world’ to be like and function in ‘a way’ that fits with everyone’s Truest wants, needs, and desires.
It is who you are. It is either strengthened or broken when it is tested / challenged to treat every person as a person in one’s thoughts, behaviors, and values. Diverging from recognition of the personhood of all persons self-destructs (is a hardened brokenness that has to be broken in order to heal).
If ‘this’ is how ‘you’ interpret things here, then great, and THANK YOU very much for answering and clarifying. It is very refreshing when it happens and occurs.
So, is it correct that ‘you’ can be strengthened or broken?
If yes, then how do ‘you’ know, for sure and exactly, whether ‘you’ have been strengthened or broken?
If ‘you’ have been broken, or strengthened, then will ‘you’ please provide some examples here, and inform ‘us’ how ‘you’ knew, exactly?
But, if a ‘person’ is not yet able to satisfactorily explain who and what ‘it’ is, exactly, or who and what ‘I’ am exactly, then how could ‘that one’ know, for sure, that ‘it’ is diverging from recognition of ‘personhood’ or not?
For example, ‘to you’ what even is ‘personhood’, exactly?
Anyone with kids knows you can teach them from a very young age to rationally empathize ‘cause they already have the capacity for empathy, but you have to make them link things in their head (also a capacity they are born with, but it takes experience to make those connections) so they do it rationally (by choice).
Some parents do this better than others because their parents (or people significant in their life) did it better than others. At one point everyone did it better than everyone is doing it now… although there are pockets where excellence is preserved.
“How would you feel if someone did — or didn’t do — that to you?” is a very Socratic way to draw this out.
If you stop asking that^ question, you know you are broken… and that is as far as I’m going to answer this question to a stranger on the Internet:
Sometimes when you’re broken, you don’t know it. It’s called anosognosia. So that is a reasonable question you have asked. But what matters ultimately is, you can be broken in all kinds of ways, but if you’re still (or begin… and keep returning to) asking that question, you are whole where/when it matters most.
Personhood is just being able to recognize personhood… Excellent personhood (neighbor status) is acknowledging the person(s) you recognize in your thoughts, behaviors, and values. …rather than falling back on resistances to contact, cognitive distortions, rationalizations, and ego defense mechanisms… as far as you are aware.
