Why do women take sex so seriously. I mean where guys will screw anything women are so fussy. Why are they so fussy I mean generally you get the impression that screwing for a women is a means to another end ie boyfriend marriage baby. Where guys will pick up anything girls will do a lot of calculations not based on sex So is this genetic or cultural. . Women all want to screw but so much calculation goes into who they will screw so Why do women take sex so seriously
My guess is women’s sexuality is way more affect by their values and beliefs (it’s the wiring in their brains). This is why women can allow themselves to be turned on or off more at will than men. Things like context, appropriateness, what the man says or does - all of which impress us vis-a-vis our values and beliefs - go, via their value and belief systems, straight to their sexual nerves.
Based on this, I’d say it’s both. Genetics provides the neural wiring, and culture provides the values and beliefs.
Of course, I’m a guy, so I don’t know shit about what I’m talking about. This is just what I tell myself to make sense out of women.
I’d say it stems from our evolutionary origins. Females are practically defined by the fact that they can have fewer offspring at a time than men (because men can impregnate multiple women, but not vice-versa). As a result, females of many species are more choosy about who they mate with. They are also more vulnerable to things like rape, so they are more cautious when it comes to sex.
Whether it’s cultural or genetic, at this point it’s hard to say.
