i was reviving a friendship with an old guy friend through e-mails and i was quite enjoying it until he stopped responding. why do men do this, must sex be involved to get a thoughtful letter or call from a man?

I dont like to email because its much more personal to chat over msn or the phone. Maybie the fault lies in youre reliance on youre beloved “email”.

I’m the opposite, if a girl can’t stimulate me in conversation long enough for me to be able to seduce her then the relationship will go nowhere…

Woman and men tend to use communication differently. Men share information to aid in decision making. Like a soldier reporting to his commander. Women communicate to reinforce social bonds. They aren’t looking for any kind of result or outcome from their sharing. There is no goal other than to strengthen connections. So men parse a message differently. They are looking for problems to solve. If a communication contains no problem related information then they see no reason for any follow-up. To make matters worse women resent being treated as if they were a problem that needed solving. Whereas a woman who give a man suitable problems for him to solve is very good for him.
My point was that seduction for me is primarily conversational. Quite literally if a girl bores me in conversation then I can’t put up with her for long enough for any physical dealings to develop.
I don’t always end up seducing them, I have my standards…
