So long as you have things like culture, tradition, convenience, luxory, habit and religion things will always remain the same including all the many aspects of violent terror in the world that exists today much as it did yesterday all the way to our ancient past.
So long as these things exist there is no hope of a cure or some ideal solution.
Those who believe that the world can change or believe that some progress will come as a form of salvation are ignorant unto being naive of this facet of reality.
Am I implying that we should eliminate these things from our lives? It really doesn’t matter what you or I say because such things shall keep existing anyways long after our own individual deaths.
Existence can roughly be illustrated into being ongoing business as usual.
The only realistic ideals of humanity right now should prepare for and anticipate the slavery of men (males) in the future by more powerful men. As men, we are obsolete unless we can prove otherwise through a mix of intellectual ingenuity, brute force strength, and passionate yet ruthless honesty. If you meet a hypocrite, then do not only smack them in the face, but attempt to devote your very being to annihilating their existence off the face of the Earth. The most ruthless and effective methods of tortuous killing throughout the history of mankind has not been the simple or elongated murder of your enemies, but also attempting to completely erase their name and body-evidence from existence itself.
The future will rest upon extremely advanced forms of mental/idealistic slavery…
That, my friend, you will have to discover for yourself. I can’t tell you.
Every moment is different than the last, by nature. All are unique. Some very much so. When we become used to and attached to one particular ‘view’, the mind filters out any ‘spikes’, anything ‘outside the box’. “We miss the moment when the sky is on fire because we drag the clouds with us.” -Book of Fudd (23:14)

Why everything will always remain the same beyond appearance:
. . . because everything arose out of the same singularity?
I mean, what else could there be if there is nothing else? This is the basic reasoning that underlies physicalism.
I realize your question was intended to be more sociological than scientific or philosophical, but FWIW I just wanted to point out that there is a significant scientific/philosophical issue implicit in that question, as well.
