Why is it so easy to get banned from most internet fourms?

On that, I guess you are correct. It is difficult for many to admit that their choices are purely emotional, even if it is the case.

I think most people are thinking values. You could call that emotional, but sometimes it seems much more like ideas to me. I am not arguing anyone is rational. I think the parties and subcultures present pseudoreasoning, but I think the choices are generally made by values and ideals. There’s a quick check to see what fits where. I use words here like ideas and ideals. This doesn’t mean there is reasoning, but to say it’s based on emotions sounds like they go and vote angry or fearful. I think those are secondary. The have emotional reactions to ideas. Fairness grips some, liberty grips others more, opportunity…etc. But they are looking for values and with their team in the background. What does the team think of this? What our position on things like this? I don’t think people feel or think very deeply. They can make a lot of noise but so can an empty bell. You just have to hit it right.

People have little trust in their emotions or they wouldn’t spent so much energy shutting them off and pretending. People have little skill in thought. Let’s not even bring up intuition.

Well, that is thinking emotionally. How do I feel about this person? What can I identify with?

Rather than are they intelligent, do they make any sense, do they seem to have a solid grasp, what are the realities and costs and benefits? Rather than “am I one of the good guys? Is this person on the Good Guy ™ team?”
