Why us?

If a god does exist, why would he/she only choose to reward (heaven) or punish (hell) humans in the end? If everything on earth is a result of evolution why does this god pick the human race in particular? Shouldn’t the creator of everything treat everything in the same way? Or is a god just a thought created by humans to give our life meaning? Or is it a result of religion that was created by humans to incorporate ethics and morals into our lives?

You evidently think it’s easy being God.

Don’t go there. Asking questions about god will get you answers about god. Ludicrous ones. “Blahblahblah, he works in mysterious ways, blahblahblah.” The problem with god is a somewhat illogical entity, and somewhat illogical answers result from questions about anything remotely related to him. When you ask God questions, you get Homer answers. What’s the expression? Garbage In Garbage Out? GIGO?

I agree, zeus. Garbage in, garbage out. All the answers to the question “Why can’t I figure God out?” are the same.

How long has the idea of god been around?

Since He first had it.

I am being facetious because no one knows, know one ever will know, and no one can know.

The word ‘God’ is relatively new. So is, I understand, the idea that there is one undisputed boss of the universe. Monotheism is a modern invention, like evolution and voting rights for women. It’ll probably blow over soon enough.

Humans are the most advanced species on earth

They didn’t start out as the most advanced species. Or let’s say there’s a species that becomes more intelligent than us. Does god choose that species over us?

Lets be honest god does not exist, never has and never will.

I’d love to agree with you but there’s just as much evidence for the existence of god as there is that he/she does not exist.

  1. Dont question Gods motives. They are beyond human comprehension.
  2. Dont question Gods decisions. Your brain would explode if you knew.
  3. God can do whatever he wants, whether you consider it fair or not. Its like a tree asking the lumberjack why hes cutting him down and not his jerkoff neighbor. No wait, this isnt a good analogy.
  4. Maybe God wants us to think he is just a abstract meaningless concept so that he can barbeque us.
  5. If God shaped things in such a way that we follow his moral code despite not knowing for certain he exists, in a way…a ficitious concept of God has the same amount of power over as a uninvolved real God.

In all seriousness, this is a waste of time.

Exactly the answer I was looking for.
