Today you have seen the advance technology.
and much injuries, brain injuries, limbs severed. eye sight lost.
technology has made a blind woman to see, by implanting chips to the brain which sents signals from the receiver outside to the brain. And see outline images.
So what do you think. Is humans better, to be have machine and have nature? Power? or adapt to the handicap and let nature takes where we going to become?
interesting point, topic note being an interesting game referance, as for the question of our future with cybernetics I can see a few possible futures that could overlap with one another.
nano technology becomes mainstream. bringing about great advancements in medical sciences and increased lifespans, as well as the need to compensate for these advancements.
genetic alterations become mainstreme. allowing greater advancement of the human condition as well as the internal conflicts from this advancement, (gundam seed, interesting concepts)
cybernetic replacements become mainstreme. allowing greater recovery, but no real advancement to it.
people become repellant to such technology. causing uprisings and civil destruction, (happening now to some extent)
technology takes a backseat to personal development, and so people become more able to cope with such technology which itself is delayed.
catastrophy befalls before conclusion. as in we kill ourselves before it gets to this point.
I have this earpiece at work. I have two earrings on my left ear.
I had trouble keeping my earpiece on, so I tried these clips on it and attached them to my earrings. It worked well! I tucked the chord for the earpiece under my shirt. I looked in the mirror before starting work and suddenly envisioned cyborgs.
It is perhaps destiny that once a species becomes advanced enough, its functions are a hybrid between mass-production, genetics, and specialization. If we insist on remaining “biologically pure,” it may be just as foolhardy as we once tried to be “God’s command” kind of pure.
I don’t find makeup on women a turn-on. I think a bit of fat is ideal. And I actually think matted hair is cute. So already, sex to me is terrible when incorporating all this lab-produced artificiality (except soap. Soap is good). I think some technology on males somehow has more sex appeal than on females.
Technology is gaining a more organic feel- in fact incorporating more biological components. I think things are simply a bit freakish because we’re in the process of reinventing ourselves. I’m sure if it continues we’re due for something cohesive and ellegant. Something with pretty good sex.
