Wittgenstein's Tractatus

Has anyone here done a comprehensive reading of Ludwig Wittgenstein’s Tractatus? I’m working on it right now and am wondering if he is somewhat Platonic in his philosophy…

my first thought would be to say no, he is not “platonic”. but what exactly do you mean by that?

he is attempting to “take inventory” of the universe. he’s constructing (and describing) an ontology of the universe. he is describing the nature of things that exist…and …uhh… the nature of things that do not exist (and you’ll soon see that there “isn’t much to be said about that”, according to wittgenstein :sunglasses: ).

the book and the line of thinking is heavily steeped in logical positivism.

look up “logical positivism”, and while you’re at it look up “the vienna circle”.
