This is basically a portion of the Philosophy of language.
Our Perceptions of particular Words have a great effect on us The feeling one has surrounding a word can mean a vastly differant thing than that of someone else, depending on their former experiance or knowledge on the word, this works with symbols as well.
And it’s interesting that with changing perceptions certain words take on new forms.

I accidentally added a suffix where it didn’t belong again, it’s nothing esoteric. What i meant was, “it’s interesting that with changing perceptions certain words take on new forms.”
It’s true certain perception leads to new meanings in personal/society.
When clothes came as shelter, no one knows how it got turned into use of covering body because of shyness during fundamentalist time.
Later it meant to portray respect(!!) with a just a piece of tie!
Now it is form of fashion in today’s modern society.
So what does come into mind when it means cloth.
