Would the US military know how to handle this tactic?

What would the US military do if the Iraqi suicide bomber commanders took off their bombs, and had waves of Iraqi citizens stand in front of our tanks stopping them?

It seems someone needs to take control of the situation over there. Since our leadership lacks the balls, brains, or the true desire to control the situation,(IMO) perhaps the Iraqis do.

Do you think the US military is prepared for that scenerio? Or would they be like robots with no policy and procedure program installed?

Isn’t that what finished off communist Russia?

the democRATS and the suicide bombers may be alligned, but the iraqi citizen wants the suicide bombers dead.

K: the U.S. army has no fear of shooting innocent people, so
yeh the army would simply shoot people and create a greater
warm fuzzy feeling toward the U.S. around the world.
No, the situation is just totally fucked up. There is no solution.
and what killed Russia (and almost bankrupt us in the process)
was the arms race which Russia finally could not afford.
the arms race was keynesian economics on both sides.
The U.S. used the arms race to rebuild after the 1970s,
and the soviet union collapsed, both using the same technique.
Why did one succeed and one fail? The U.S. had a bigger economy,
thus we could outlast Russia, a few more years and that would have
happened to us. Don’t worry though, the village idiot, is
showing us exactly how to bankrupt a country using keynesian
economics the wrong way. You will get to see first hand how
Russia collapsed. And it won’t be pretty.

Don’t know about you…but I think I would rather be an actor in a failure, and suffer, than in the audience of one, and suffer.

Just my opinion.

I sure wish we could put aside our petty differences, and come up with some peaceable solutions to our problem that benefit everyone.

If the iraqi people did do as you state, that would imply that they trust the U.S. millatry.

So that would mean that, that trust would be returned and the U.S would leave.

The fact that the U.S are there, means that they are untrustworthy.

That is a good point. They could actually get rid of the US presence by doing that, yet they keep bombing things, making the occcupation nessesary. Is peace and control more powerful than bombs, for accomplishing their “goal”? Maybe deep down, they really DON’T want us to leave?

I once saw a photo of a traditionally dressed Arab skipping through the ruins of a town. He looked very happy and that made me remember that these people were traditionally nomads. So, maybe it’s the case that they do want constant war in an effort to remove all western style development and turn to the nomadic life.
