Would you put your life on the line to protect folk weaker than yourself , but for no reward , no pay at all except mabe some food ?
for food? yes
for no reason? yes
make sure the cause is just of course
I like your thinking .
This is excellent advice from Jung , never realized he was so enlightened .
me neither! which is why its in my name!
ur a taoist reader i assume?
I probably go more with Daoism as a discipline yeh .
Good premise. Akira Kurosawa probably explored it the best.
Xander,
That was where the thread came from. Good call.
So would you put your life on the line then ?
Not now. “I” is not a samurai anymore.
What do you mean " I " is not ?
It depends. The cause had better be pretty good, though. I am young (17) and, in theory, could be around for a long time. It makes no sense to me to die for some for no reason other than that they are weak.
Like I said, it all depends on what exactly the cause is/would be.
I don’t think I can really say unless I was in the situation myself
Wow, what a response! Why not go out on a limb?
fuck you Penn
Well, you certainly aren’t much of a Teller now are you!
rim-shot
Tip your wait-staff, people.
not today
Generally speaking “I” is the literal perspective of an individual. Every individual has many perspectives, but only one “I” to speak of. This “I” cannot be taken literally, even as its job is to be literal. (The “I” is not literally who I am, despite what “I” thinks.)
