I just ‘tried’ to read a couple of the threads on here. and wow. My current intelligence cannot comprehend how in depth you guys are(keep in mind that i’m 15). I would like to learn how you guys are able to think on such a high level. I can think on a pretty high level(so high that Its kinda scary) but only for a second or two and ofcourse those thoughts dont make sense after that. But it seems you guys can sustain this level and still function properly. But I do have one pretty important question. Do you guys ever think you might think on this level because you have a mental illness?(correct me if im wrong please) Since nuerons associate with each other and are constantly reassociating and making different combonations, it is actually possible to cause a loop of nuerons in the brain that keeps other nuerons from being associated with. thats what i think a mental illness is. or atleast one type. so it is actually possible to think yourself crazy.
I saw some of this on “what the bleep do we know” and some from discovery channel. and some I just kinda put together. please correct me if i am wrong(which I probably am somewhere or everywhere in the last paragraph)

First off, we think DEEP here, not “high”. We must indeed appear mentally ill from such an inverted perspective! In fact, we are merely severely normal. And it bothers the hell out of us to be reminded of it, so try not to bring that up… Rather, as is quite normal, many of us glorify insanity, so do feel free to keep infering that we’re crazy.
I can relate to how you are feeling limonack… The conversations here are between people who are either very educated, very intelligent, or very much both of those… At least from what I read… I’m nearly 30 and have talked with many more people than you have had the chance to, up to this point, and I can tell you that the conversations and discussions going on here are not all too common. Sure the topics may come up in other circles or places, but the level that they are discussed are much more limited, or on more of a surface level, I suppose… Its easy to feel intimitaed, but I can tell you that is you just sit back and read, the style and composition will become easier to understand pretty quickly…
Don’t be too amazed, good sir. Most of what you see is simply simple concepts hidden in complex syntax, i.e., its just worded in a complicated fashion. sometimes people try too hard to sound intelligent and in effect word their responses/statements in such a complicated way it cannot be understood. Speak to be understood =)

I know one psychological precedent. That of the unabomber. Psychologists agree his high intelligence was attributed to early life trauma and subsequent mental illness. I attribute my own high intelligence to my own early life traumas and subsequent mental illnesses. I say high intelligence in reference to myself relative to those around me in my life, not on this site.
In both cases, isolation and the actual nature of the illnesses developed the analytical facility and perception.
